Metro station "Kolomenskaya": cafes, restaurants, shops. Museum-Reserve "Kolomenskoye"

In Moscow, one of the most picturesque and at the same time interesting from a historical point of view is the one in which the metro station "Kolomenskaya" is located. What attractions are there? And when was the metro station "Kolomenskaya" opened?

"Centipede"

The construction of the metro station "Kolomenskaya" was completed in the late 60's. This station is one of the same type, which are numerous in the Moscow metro. There are no pretentious sculptures and colorful ornaments. Such stations residents of the capital nicknamed "centipede" for their facelessness. But if the gaze of a passenger who was at the metro station "Kolomenskaya" there is nothing to catch, then on the surface he opens an amazing picturesque picture. True, not immediately. It is necessary to walk several meters towards the reserve. But more about this later. The pavilion, in spite of its invisibility, also deserves attention.

Features of the metro station "Kolomenskaya"

The walls are lined with ceramic tiles. The columns are finished in light gray marble. The metro station "Kolomenskaya" has, nevertheless, a feature that distinguishes it from the others built in the sixties. Namely columns. After all, they have the shape of an octagon in cross section. Columns on the other station in the cross section are square. However, this feature is hardly noticed by passengers hurrying to work or home. The city that is in continuous traffic is Moscow.

Metro "Kolomenskaya" is located in one of the most densely populated areas. Even if architects and artists in 1969 would have made efforts to make this pavilion bright and memorable, their efforts were hardly appreciated by local residents. Tourists here are infrequent. Foreigners prefer the historical center of Moscow. While here, too, there is something to see.

Area

Metro "Kolomenskaya" is located in the Nagatinsky Zaton area. Fifty meters from the "Orbit". Not so long ago this cinema, built in the Soviet times, experienced a complete restoration. On the other side is the shopping center "Kolomensky Passage". Other shopping complexes located near the metro are "Gvozd-2", "Confetti", "Kolomensky", "Nora", "Zatonka", "Nagatinsky". Most of them are located on Andropov Avenue. Shopping centers "Zatonka", "Confetti" and "Nagatinsky" can be reached by bus. The stop is next to one of the exits: you need to get out of the first car from the center and turn left. On the other side there is a tram stop, from where you can also reach anywhere in the Nagatinskaya Zaton.

Cafes and restaurants

Near the metro station "Kolomenskaya" there are several catering establishments. There are no elite restaurants here, mostly snack bars or cafes. Not far from the cinema "Orbita" is "Baku Boulevard". The menu of this restaurant serves European and Caucasian cuisine. However, according to feedback, the quality of service here leaves much to be desired.

At Andropov Avenue, house 37 is the Cafe Cappuccino. From this institution to the museum-reserve only twenty meters. That's why on weekdays in a cafe to find a free table is not easy. In the same building, but on the second floor, there is a club-restaurant "Pena". In the vicinity of the metro station "Kolomenskaya" there are many cafes. And this is due, above all, the presence of one of the oldest sights of the capital - the museum-reserve "Kolomenskoye". About it and will go further.

Museum-Reserve

Kolomenskoye is a part of the historical complex, divided into three parts. One of them is the museum of architecture and construction, most of which was created by the eighteenth century. Among these buildings, however, there are those that were built in the Middle Ages. All this can be seen if you get to the metro station "Kolomenskaya", go to "Orbit" and go 200 meters along the same park.

The history of these places is truly interesting. Once there was a village here, which, according to researchers, is the first settlement in Moscow. In the thirteenth century, fleeing from the Tatar-Mongol, the inhabitants of the ancient city of Kolomna arrived in these places. Hence the name of the village, then the modern street and, finally, the metro station. Russian princes have chosen picturesque Kolomna sites. For several centuries here was their residence. The Church of the Ascension - the oldest monument on the territory of the museum - was erected in the sixteenth century by Vasily III.

In the times of Alexei Mikhailovich, the village of Kolomenskoye reached its peak. At the same time, the ruler erected several luxurious buildings for those times. For example, a wooden royal palace. Almost each of the subsequent kings did not disregard these places, erecting new constructions. But not all buildings, of course, have survived to this day.

Legends

The Museum-Reserve Kolomenskoye stores many secrets. On its territory is the so-called Vlasov ravine. According to legend, a person who falls into it, can disappear. At least for contemporaries there is a legend that in the XIX century two local residents, having decided to shorten the path, crossed this anomalous place and found themselves in the 13th century. They returned home only 30 years later. True or fiction, it is unknown. But no one is in a hurry to cross the ill-fated ravine.
