Recreation center "Arsky Kamen", Bashkiria, Beloretsk

"Arsky Kamen" is a tourist center located in the southeast of Bashkortostan in Beloretsk district, which is in the center of the southern part of the Ural mountain range. The guests will enjoy interesting and useful leisure: rafting on rivers, hiking and horseback riding, speleological excursions. One of the most interesting natural objects - a high rocky ledge - gave its name to the recreation center. To the famous Arsk stone tourists come to admire the work of the forces of weathering, to see the marks of time. Many exciting folk tales and legends are dedicated to the cliff. And its age is about 400 million years.

In the north-eastern part of the Beloretsky district there is the source of the Belaya River (Agidel) - one of the most beautiful waterways of Bashkortostan. On its right bank, in 20 km from the regional center - the city of Beloretsk - is located the oldest rocky ledge, and next to the hostel "Arsky Kamen". During the USSR, enthusiasts of horseback riding and water tourism in the Southern Urals gathered here. The camp was established in 1972 on the site of a holiday home and over the years has become a visiting card of the Beloretsky district and the whole of Bashkortostan.

The distance from the capital of the republic to Sosnovka is about 260 km. Some of the guests begin their journey to the resting place from Beloretsk's auto or railway station. The road lies to the south-west along the highway. Before reaching the village of Sosnovka, you need to turn right (there is an index). Going to the hostel by car from Ufa, you can turn to the south, without calling in Beloretsk. Approximately 1.5 km to Sosnovka there will be a turn with the signpost of the way to the recreation center.

Primordial beauty of the wild nature of the Southern Urals

In the vicinity of the tourist complex "Arsky Kamen" (Beloretsk), mountain peaks covered with coniferous and deciduous forests, subalpine meadows alternate with the green banks of the Belaya River valley. In prehistoric times, the entire southern Ural territory has passed through long stages of development as part of the paleocean. His retreat was associated with powerful mountain-forming processes. On the modern western slope of ancient ranges, limestones, dolomites and other sedimentary rocks are exposed. In the stony screes everywhere there are fragments and imprints of ancient mollusks and corals - the inhabitants of warm and shallow sea basins. Found in the mountains of the Southern Urals and valuable magmatic rocks, there are traces of ancient volcanism.

The Bashkir people preserved the legend of an ancient giant guarding a belt in the place of a modern mountain chain, built of semi-precious stones and minerals useful in the economy. To the richness of the mountains nature has added the beauty of rivers and forests, the healing power of air. The conditions of the recreation center are excellent for strengthening health, testing their abilities and activating the body's reserves.

The Legendary Rock

In 20 km to the south-west from Beloretsk and a few hundred meters from the tourist base there is a historical and geological monument - Arsk stone. The height of this steep rock outcrop of limestone rocks reaches 30 m. Weathering changes its outlines for 400 million years, leaving on the surface bizarre patterns. The rock is surrounded by a pine forest and the majestic curve of the Belaya River. Here there are relict species of plants of forest and steppe flora (Shiverekiya Podolskaya, Solntsek color coin, Volodushka multi-lobed).

The spirit of time, the power of natural forces are reflected in the folklore of the Bashkir people. Part of the legends and legends associated with the Arski stone and the river Agidel, refer to the period of the popular uprising led by Emelian Pugachev. According to one version, in 1774 the rebels captured the Beloretsky plant. Having received a refusal to demand to smash the guns, they threw the manager from the top of the Arsk stone into the river. After the execution, according to popular rumor, the waters of Agidel retreated hundreds of meters from the rock of Arsk stone (photos of mountain education are presented in the article). According to another legend, in the cave under the cliff Pugachev hid the looted treasures. The entrance to the underground grotto was destroyed deliberately in the 30s of the last century to cool the ardor of treasure hunters.

Infrastructure of the recreation center, accommodation options

The number of rooms in the recreation center "Arsky Kamen" is designed to accommodate 200-250 guests. In summer, the possibilities of accommodation are increased due to one-story houses. Approximately half of the total number of tourists takes a brick winter housing. Cozy summer houses are picturesquely located on the territory and almost closely adjacent to the pine forest. The categories of the rooms are different: standard, junior suite and suite. Each room is designed for 2-4 beds, in some rooms can be created additional places to accommodate guests.

On the territory of the complex there is a dining room, in which there are three meals a day (for an additional fee). If you wish, guests can prepare their own food, for this purpose there are all conditions at the recreation center.

Rehabilitation center project

In 2014 the recreation center "Arsky Kamen" (Beloretsk) could be converted to a rehabilitation center for drug addicts. The project was initiated by public organizations with the support of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia for Bashkortostan. If it was implemented, the boundaries of the tourist base would have to be closed, which would mean the end of the untwisted tourist brand. When the leaders of the administration of the Belorets district and representatives of the national association of rehabilitation centers discussed the prospects, it was decided that the rehabilitation institution should not be located on the territory of the tourist complex. Also, the opinion of residents and the public was taken into account, which opposed the implementation of the reabcenter project. The recreation center from June 1, 2014 began to accept tourists in the usual way.

Excursion in summer

In the summer, the program of rest is dominated by horse, pedestrian and bicycle routes, speleological hikes, rafting along the river. There are organized thematic bus excursions to the historical and natural monuments of the Southern Urals. Walking routes introduce tourists to the reserved corners of the region. Horseback riding - the tradition of a recreation center, which turned more than 40 years old. A unique horse-speleological route was added to popular hikes along the mountains, valleys of rivers and forests, historical places.

Alloys on the South Urals Rivers

Traveling along the White River and Inzer rivers by kayaks, catamarans and rafts is an attractive kind of active recreation for brave and hardy people. The routes of the rafts prepared by the recreation base "Arsky Kamen" are of varying complexity and duration. Participation in exciting hikes are experienced travelers and beginners in this kind of tourism. For the first, a 7-day route along the Inzer River and an 11-day water trek of increased complexity to Shulgan-Tash cave, which runs along the Belaya River, are of interest. The hostel in the vicinity of the village of Sosnovka is open all year round, offering its guests fascinating routes, excursions and entertainment. On its own territory the complex also has attractions: a ski trail with night lighting and Arsky Castle. There is also an educational ski complex, there is an artificial snow installation , a descent and a springboard for snowboarding.

The ice rink on the camp site is also equipped with night lighting. Lovers of unhurried ski walks are attracted to a pine forest. In the winter, the surroundings can be surveyed, strolling on horseback or on a sleigh. At the hostel rental of snowmobiles, boats, launches, bicycles, tourist and sport equipment, fishing tackle is open.

Speleological excursions

The speleological trek to the Askin Ice Cave is a bouquet of adventures connected with a visit to an amazing natural object. On the route, participants will need minimal knowledge of speleology and maximum enthusiasm. Askin cave is filled with ice stalactites and centuries-old ice. It is interesting to get into this realm of cold in the summer, the impressions received do not leave any participant in the hike indifferent.
