In films, as in comics, he is forced to move around in a wheelchair. In the idea of the franchise, it was supposed to show Charles Xavier as the most powerful mutant. In the third film, entitled "People X: The Last Battle", shows how Gina Gray kills Charles. But after the demonstration of the credits it was shown that the hero managed to transfer his mind to the twin brother, especially since the brain of the latter did not function from birth. Here is the answer to the question: "How did Professor Xavier survive?" In the next episode, Charles appears only at the very end of the timing, this part shows that he can do without a wheelchair.

The first time in first class

In the next episode, entitled "People X: First Class," Charles is presented as a young teacher who gathered his first mutant students. In this part, the creators explain to the viewer why Professor Xavier is alive, and reveal the secret, because of what he is chained to a wheelchair - at the very end of the film a bullet fired from a pistol shattered the spine and he becomes disabled. But because of this ending, a lot of controversy arose, because in the previous parts of the franchise you could see how Xavier moves with the feet, and the events of these films occur after those shown in the "First Class". As it becomes clear, in the center of the prequel, the creators intentionally invest the history of rather complicated relations between Professor X and Magneto. The director made the only correct decision at the casting stage. The idea of Jewish revenge and shocking two heroes were able to brighten up the absence of the protagonist of previous episodes of Hugh Jackman. In this picture, Xavier turns into a real playboy and a darling of fate, his colorful personality sometimes eclipses the rest of the mutant team and even intrigue with an attempt to unleash a world war. However, still the main plot-forming line remains the plan of the main antagonist Sebastian Shaw, who seriously intended to destroy human civilization.

After these events, he falls into the future, where his spine is completely healed. The events of the "Ultimatum" are closely intertwined with the "Agents Shield" universe.
