Polina Barskova studied at the Department of Classical Philology at St. Petersburg University. She graduated from this university. She noted that in her works everyone sees something of her own: modern, Peter, arrogance, chasing, scandal, vulgarity, sentimentality, tabloidism, negligence, shamelessness, emptiness. Judgments were expressed about the influence of Joseph Brodsky's work on our heroine. The poet herself noted that he is neither a teacher nor an idol for her. He is a language for her.
