Pekka Eric Auvinen, Finnish mass murderer. Massacre in Yokela

Unfortunately, in the modern society, obsessive, mentally ill people are increasingly appearing who, in an attempt to attract attention, commit radically wrongful acts. And as a result, innocent people suffer. For example, Andreas Breivik and his follower Dmitry Vinogradov considered themselves to be those who have the right to organize lynchings over people, while taking only one verdict - the death penalty.

Among the aforementioned "rulers of destinies", of course, one can include a young man from Finland who committed murderous and unprecedented murders in the building of the school in the town of Jokela in the municipal district of Tuusula. Pekka Eric Auvinen opened a random shooting in his native lycee, which resulted in the death of several students, the director of an educational institution and a nurse. Why, in appearance, is a normal teenager, characterized exclusively from the positive side, decided on a brutal murder? And what is generally known about this emergency, which happened in a quiet provincial town of Finland? Let's consider these issues in more detail.

Difficult childhood

The causes of wrongful acts, which are ultimately "dared" by murderers, possessed by megalomania, should be sought in that period of life when they were children. And Pekka Eric Auvinen committed a crime, too, not from scratch. Moreover, the young man was preparing for it in advance ...

Pekka Eric Auvinen was born in a small town of Tuusula (Finland). He was born on June 4, 1989. The parents of the future murderer were law-abiding citizens: the mother worked in the mayoralty, the father worked on the railway, so the "genetic" factor would be more logical to exclude. But the "psychological" can not be set aside.

Pekka Eric Auvinen began to experience problems at school. In his youth, he became an object for ridicule by peers, and in order to restore composure, the future murderer often took out anger on younger children. Over time, Erik hated single parents, homosexuals and those who are in love. However, he did not show open discontent towards the above categories, on the contrary, he was a calm and peace-loving teenager seriously interested in philosophy and history. No one could have foreseen that from this exemplary teenager, a Finnish mass murderer could turn out. No signs of trouble. And the parents of Eric at first did not believe that their son committed a massacre at school.

Factors that could potentially pose a crime

Still, the question remains: "Why did an eighteen-year-old boy commit a resonant crime in his native school?" According to investigators, in 2006 a young man began to take psychotropic drugs that could hypothetically provoke a desire to kill him to get rid of depression. In addition to this, Erik broke up with his girlfriend (he met her on a dating site). It is not excluded that the breakdown of relations further aggravated the problems with the psyche.

Preparatory Actions

As already emphasized, the young man thought out a crime in advance, which he odiously called: "The central blow." The police managed to find out that he periodically visited the local "Hunting Club", of which he was a member. As a result, he had the privilege of buying firearms. Naturally, the young man used it. "Hunting Club" in the person of his chairman helped Eric to acquire his own 22-caliber pistol, who, who would have thought, would become a weapon of murder. It's about the model Sig Sauer Mosquito. But it is known that the young man wanted to stop his choice on another model - "Birreta". However, Eric was not able to buy it, because he was under 21 years old.

Manifesto

Before committing a massacre in Yokela, a young man, under the pseudonym Eric von Auffoin, published an online document called "Manifesto of the Natural Selector" on the Web.

On his pages Erik explained his own perception of the world. In particular, he declares that the existing mechanism of "natural selection" is highly unbalanced: "intellec- tual" intellectuals began to be born far less sane individuals. And to restore justice, he - Pekka Eric Auvinen, is ready to rid the world of idiots and assholes. And the murder of such a young man considers quite justified. But in his reflections the young man goes even further: he does not see people who deserve to live today on planet Earth. But for the sake of exclusion, Eric is ready to leave alive those who are able to think, and those - only 3% of the population. Most people do not have this quality, they can be easily manipulated, so they must die.

In a separate appendix, the young man listed those phenomena that categorically do not accept, namely: ideology, religion, the media, democracy, commercial TV, censorship, political figures.

A warning

Shortly before the crime, Eric posted on the popular YouTube service author's film called Jokela school shooting. In this way, he predicted a massacre at school.

The film contained video footage on which the young man trained to shoot weapons, as well as shots depicting his idols - odious schoolchildren-murderers: Eric Harris and Dylan Klibold, who committed a resonant crime in the educational institution "Columbine" in the spring of 1999.

The tragedy happened in autumn

In the morning of November 7, 2007 Pekka Eric was already in the territory of his native lyceum. On this day, there was a massacre in the school. The young man's intentions were the most serious. He took with him in advance a Sig Sauer Mosquito gun . First opened fire on the students on the first floor. In a panic, the children tried to jump out of the windows to save themselves. But not everyone succeeded. Then Erik moved to the second floor, where he continued shooting at people. Entering one of the offices, he alternately sent a gun to the director of the Lyceum, the nurse and students. They could not survive. Then he walked along the corridor of the educational institution and called on peers to smash the school. Soon the scene came to the police. Guardians of the law and order acted as carefully as possible in order to avoid additional casualties. They did not use force methods and tried to persuade the young man to surrender by negotiation.

The final

Realizing that it was useless to resist, Eric went to the toilet room, where he tried to commit suicide. The young man shot himself a bullet in the head. At 2 o'clock in the afternoon the police found a murderer, who, although bleeding, was still alive. Immediately the ambulance took Eric to the clinic, and a few hours later he died.

The tragedy that arose has caused serious public outcry in Finland. Activists demanded that in the country authorities limit the issuance of firearms to certain categories of citizens. And those who suffered from the hands of the young man, schoolchildren and teachers were forced to undergo a long course of psychological rehabilitation. As a result of the accident, 9 people were killed and 12 people were wounded.

Afterword

This is what Pekka Eric Auvinen, who was obsessed with hatred for humanity, mass murder, revolution and natural selection, provided for himself. The evaluation of his actions, of course, is unambiguous. The society and the authorities should react strongly to those who try to put themselves above others and arrange lynching over innocent people.
