Parasites in the human liver. Symptoms of infection

In the late 80-ies in the American press there was information that about 80% of the world's population are infected with parasites. In Russia, 1 million people are infected every year with various types of worms, but the evidence suggests that the incidence is much higher than official data.

If you have allergic diseases, frequent skin rashes, hair loss, weight jumps, stools, this may indicate that you have parasites in the liver. Symptoms of liver damage can manifest in the form of malaise, pain in the right side, increased liver and spleen, bleeding, fever. Frequent colds, meteosensitivity, mood swings, joint pains can also be signs of the presence of parasites in the body.

The liver is a favorite organ for placing parasites, there are many nutrients, metabolic processes occur quite intensively, and a good blood supply to the organ ensures active reproduction of foreign organisms.

What can be parasites in the liver?

Protozoa. Dysentery amoeba, spreading through the veins and lymphatic pathways, enters the liver from the intestine. In the intestine, mainly in the caecum, this protozoal causes ulceration of the mucosa, a violation of the intestinal microflora. To severe complications of amebiasis include perforation of the intestine and development of peritonitis, intestinal obstruction, as well as liver abscesses, which are a consequence of amoeba parasites. Abscesses are most often abacterial, microbial flora is joined only in 2-3% of cases. The development of an abscess is indicated by the presence of fever with chills, enlarged liver in size, jaundice, leukocytosis in the blood, pain in the right side. In some cases, the abscess can break through and lead to peritonitis.

Other parasites in the liver related to the simplest organisms are leishmania, of which mosquitoes are carriers. From the place of the insect bite, leishmanias get into the liver and spleen with a blood flow, causing a malfunctioning of the organs, a replacement of the liver cells with a connective tissue occurs. The disease occurs with anemia, fever, exhaustion, hemorrhagic syndrome develops.

Parasites in the human liver - Giardia, they are located mainly in the small intestine and bile ducts. In the liver they can penetrate through the bile ducts, causing their inflammation - cholangitis. Parasitizing in the body, giardia can lead to the development of hepatitis, pancreatitis and cholecystitis. Symptoms of lamblias injury: nausea, vomiting with an admixture of bile, jaundice, pain in the right side. Giardiasis is often accompanied by bacterial infections.

Parasites in the liver - worms

Opisthorchiasis. A person becomes infected with a cat litter when eating fish, which has not undergone proper heat treatment. In Russia, the pathogen is distributed in the basins of rivers: the Volga, the Kama, the Dnieper, the Ob, the Irtysh. In the endemic zone, the percentage of contamination of the local population is more than 70%. The parasite affects mainly the bile ducts, bile ducts and liver, causing the following symptoms: stool, jaundice, pain in the intestines, stomach and right side, allergic reactions. Eventually, chronic processes develop: cholecystitis and cholangitis, hepatitis, pancreatitis. There may be abscesses of the liver and bile peritonitis.

Echinococcosis. There is a single-chamber and multi-chamber. In the human body, the parasite passes into the stage of the larva, which penetrates the liver tissue. One cyst can develop here (with one-chamber echinococcosis) or several cysts (multiple echinococcosis). Cysts squeeze the liver tissue, which eventually necrotic and atrophy. The disease can last for many years and can be detected during a preventive examination. Parasites in the liver - echinococci - lead to severe consequences. A large cyst can become inflamed and break into neighboring organs - lungs, bronchi, abdominal cavity. Echinococcosis is treated primarily by the operative route.
