Monument to Salavat Yulaev and other sights of Bashkortostan

Bashkortostan is an old and loyal friend of Russia. For the first time in its composition it entered in 1157. The tsar's diplomas entrusted to the Bashkir ambassadors confirmed that this people has the right to observe their religious rites, maintain an army, appoint an administration.

In 1919 the Bashkir republic (autonomous) was created. The history of these times has been preserved in the architecture of the state, its monuments, cultural traditions. A direct proof of this is the monument to Salavat Yulaev, the national hero of the republic.

Salavat Yulaev fought for the freedom of Bashkortostan, eagerly supported Pugachev, was his companion. The Soviet government recognized the feat of the heroic poet-improviser. His memory began to be immortalized in monuments, bas-reliefs, graphic images.

Perhaps the most famous monument to Salavat Yulaev stands on the main square of the city of Salavat. His sculpture was cast from bronze in 1955, and the author of the image was TPNechaeva. The sculpture is known for having cast several copies of it, which were later installed in three other urban areas and even in Ufa.

However, in Ufa this is not the only monument depicting Salavat Yulayev. The monument to the hero, whose author was S.D.Tavasiev was installed on the high bank of Belaya in 1967.

If Nechaeva created the bust of Salavat, then Tavasiev portrayed him on horseback, with a whip in his hands, tearing forward. This project was approved by the government. To this day, the monument to Salavat Yulaev is the first thing that tourists see in Ufa. Around him are planted flowers, the surrounding area is lined with colored tiles. At night, the monument is highlighted, the newlyweds swear in front of Salavat in love. The monument to Salavat Yulaev, established in Ufa, is the largest in Europe equestrian statue. He even concedes to the famous statue of Jan Zizka, which weighs "only" 16.6 tons. The weight of the Bashkir monument exceeds 40 tons.

However, one should not think that the sights of Bashkortostan end here. Tourists who have come to this small country need to see the Ufa Lalya Tulip mosque made in the form of this plant, to visit St. Sergius Cathedral, the cathedral mosque, the Orthodox Church of St. Semion.

It is good, if guests of Bashkortostan will find time to admire its nature. After all, it is here that the famous cave is located in the whole world of Kapova, in which were found drawings made by ancient people on the walls. In Bashkiria there is also Yangantau mountain, the fire in the bowels of which does not cease for several centuries.

Not far from the capital is the only lake in the world with a bright blue, blinding eyes and a mountain of Maiden's Chest, in form indistinguishable from the pyramid. And in Bashkiria there are amazing Inzerskie Zubchatki and Sterlitamak Isheevskie caves, the longest in the Urals Cave of Victory and the most powerful spring in Russia, mysterious megaliths and ancient mausoleums.

Bashkortostan is a beautiful country. To visit it is like visiting a magical eastern fairy tale.
