Military-patriotic education in school

Homeland. This word has a huge meaning and each of us puts something of its own, cherished in this unshakable concept. Over the centuries, people defended their homeland, multiplied its wealth and were proud of the glorious exploits of their ancestors. In order for our children to love their country and be able to protect it, there is a military-patriotic upbringing that will help today's adolescents understand what the Motherland is and how it is dear to each of us. One of the components of this direction of educational work is the formation and development of patriotism, without which there can not be a harmonious personality.

Military-patriotic education consists of several components:

  • Knowledge of the valiant past of his people, about his military exploits in the defense against invaders.
  • Military-patriotic sports games.
  • A close relationship between youth organizations (in schools, colleges, universities, work collectives) with military units.

Of course, patriotic education originates from the family. In those families where the traditions of their ancestors are sacred, where a portrait of a veteran grandfather hangs in a place of honor where every year on May 9 children together with their parents lay flowers to the graves of fallen soldiers, a sense of patriotism is already being developed.

Military-patriotic education in the school should begin with the first class. You can learn with the children songs that are dedicated to this topic and are available for their age. It is also recommended to talk about the past Great Patriotic War, to visit with students military memorials. Children from childhood should know about the heroic past of their people. If the class teacher starts visiting war veterans, wars in Afghanistan or other wars, bringing food to them or providing help around the house with children, this will develop a respect among the children not only for people who shed their blood, but also for our Fatherland.

Military-patriotic education in the school can give significant results if the teenage children play military sports games, for example, "Eaglet" or "Zarnitsu". During this training, adolescents will be able not only to develop physically, but also to strengthen their fighting spirit and willpower. These games develop a sense of collectivism, which is quite good for our time. Endurance, diligence, ability to navigate and find a way out, sometimes the most extraordinary, is not all that schoolchildren can learn during such games.

Military-patriotic education of young people should become a priority task for any collective engaged in the education and upbringing of children, future soldiers and defenders of their country. If you go deeper into history, then the ancient Spartans with great zeal approached the education of their youth. Many centuries have passed, but today military and patriotic education should take no less, and much more time than it was 30 or 40 years ago. Organize together with children meetings with veterans, lead them to memorials of military glory, invite our contemporaries-military men to talk with them, who can tell the boys about service in the Armed Forces, about true male friendship and selfless love for their Fatherland. If military patriotic education is not given proper attention in our country, we will not be able to raise real men capable of standing up for their families and the Motherland with weapons in their hands.

In order not to lose hope for the formation of the children's personality , the military-patriotic education of the youth is necessary, and maybe then we will have fewer abandoned children, deceived old people, demoralized homeless people and cynical, unbridled teenagers sweeping away all life in their path.
