The drug "Nystatin Ointment" instruction refers to antifungal polyene antibiotics. The drug is able to change the permeability of cell membranes of fungi and slow down their growth. To undesirable consequences carry also an allergy which can have the form of a urticaria, a rash, a fever, an itch of a skin or a fever.

For external and local use, irritation reactions are likely.

When spreading resistant forms of fungi, it is necessary to cancel the drug. In this case, as a rule, the symptoms of the underlying disease are not eliminated, and in some cases, on the contrary, are amplified.

In order to avoid re-infection, as well as to enhance the therapeutic effectiveness of fungal lesions in the vagina, it is additionally recommended to apply the drug on the area around the vagina, as well as the perineum. Treatment should be done by both partners at the same time.

During the entire therapeutic course, one should refrain from sexual contact.

The onset of menstruation is not the reason for discontinuing treatment.
