The engine has a direct drive, it is high-speed, the rotational speed of the shaft is usually 30 thousand rpm. It can be controlled by an electronic circuit that provides smooth acceleration and stabilization of revolutions in case of increased load. These additional functions protect the manual router from overheating, and the electrical network from overloading at peak current values during transients.

The quality of the work depends directly on the uniformity of the cutting tool with respect to the workpiece to be machined, so the base must be smooth. Another factor that influences the successful completion of the task is the absence of distortions and backlashes, so the rigidity of the retaining node is so important, especially since it has a depth adjustment.

The collet, on which the milling cutter is mounted, includes the collet itself, which transmits the force of the drive shaft to the cutting tool, the insert and the clamping nut.
