Karisme Carpenter was born in Las Vegas in 1970. The parents of the future actress had nothing to do with the movie: her mother, Kristin, worked as an ornithologist, and her father, Don Carpenter - as a sales agent. Besides Karizma, there were two other children in the family.

When the girl was 15 years old, she moved with her family first to Rosarito (Mexico), then - to San Diego (California). There she graduated from high school.
