Konstantin Erokhin: the story of mighty kulaks

Konstantin Erokhin is a Russian heavyweight fighter who played in the Fight Nights promotion and tried to conquer the UFC. Alas, the attempt to become one of the top fighters of the best organization of the planet ended in failure. Despite this, Constantine enjoys a well-deserved love of fans.

Biography of Konstantin Erokhin

The future fighter was born in 1982 in Moscow. Since childhood, I loved swimming, but in the end I decided to do mixed martial arts. He studied MMA, boxing, army hand-to-hand combat, combat sambo. By the way, unlike many fighters, Konstantin Erokhin has a higher education. Once he graduated from the Humanitarian Academy with a degree in Psychology.

Professional career started in 2012. In a relatively short time Constantine demonstrated excellent results. Now he represents the Fight Club "Fortress" (Moscow).

Carier start

The first battle was unsuccessful. Opponent was experienced Denis Goltsov, multiple participant and prize-winner of the championship in combat sambo. The battle ended effectively - Goltsov performed a backfiel (a punch from a reversal), which sent Yerokhin to the flooring.

Failure did not cool Constantine's fervor. In the same 2012, he again held the fight, this time - with the Dutchman Jermain van Roy during the show Fight Nights. The battle ended in the victory of Konstantin Erokhin by knockout in the first round.

Master of KO

The Russian fighter showed excellent strike technique, winning the next 4 wins in a row with knockouts and technical knockouts in the first round. The sixth fight in his career took place against the Cameroonian Romo Thierry Sokoju, known for his participation in Pride, Affliction and UFC. Erokhin spectacularly sent the opponent into a knockout in the second minute of the first round, confirming his ability to compete on an equal footing with representatives of the top division.

This victory was followed by another difficult test. The next opponent was Brett Rogers, a powerful "drummer" who once fought in Strikeforce and knocked out the UFC champion Andrei Arlovski. Rogers is known for his "cast iron" fists and exceptionally attacking style, so that the fans are prepared for a bloody battle. However, everything turned out differently. Brett Rogers, knowing the knocking out power of Konstantin Erokhin, from the very beginning took a blank defense and tried to get the enemy from a distance. Since Constantine was much more active, as a result, he won the decision of the judges on the basis of three rounds. After several more victories, the Russian fighter received an invitation to the big league of the planet - UFC.

Unsuccessful continuation

Alas, the fighters from the UFC quickly realized how to fight the Russian. The first opponent, Victor Peshta, decided not to play on the opponent's field, but quickly move him to the ground and there to "deliver" to the decision. It was easy for him. As it turned out, Constantine is not too good at protecting from the takedowns, and on the floor feels insecure. The bout turned out to be relatively boring and uninviting. The natural result is the defeat of the Russian soldier.

The fans were upset, but they were ready to see in the next battle a very different Erokhin - a tightened fight or, at least, better protected from the passages to the feet. Alas, the miracle did not happen. The veteran of the Octagon Gabriel Gonzaga , exposed to the Russians, acted in the same way, actively using the fight. The battle was absolutely uninteresting and was followed by the dismissal of Konstantin Erokhin from the UFC.

According to the Russian soldier, he himself is to blame for the defeats. An unfamiliar situation, the need to periodically make trips and exit to a new level "knocked" him. UFC готовы продолжать бой даже в самых сложных условиях. In addition, Konstantin noted that the UFC fighters are ready to continue the fight even in the most difficult conditions.

The Russian does not intend to retire. At the moment he is preparing for the next battles. Perhaps in the future we will see bright knockouts thanks to which Konstantin Erokhin became so famous.
