Monument to the fairy

Chocolate Museum

Considering the attractions of the Intercession, it is necessary to say about the Museum of chocolate. Its opening took place on March 12, 2004. This institution presents the whole history of chocolate, which lasts more than 4 thousand years. The third part of the sweet tiles produced in the Russian Federation is made here.

It is located in two halls of the museum of local lore. There are expositions of how the Indians collect cocoa beans. Now this museum is very famous. The peak of popularity came in the period when he won in 2003 in the competition of tourist expositions held in this region. At that time he was a modest provincial institution, which glorified Mr. Pokrov of the Vladimir region. Attractions a few years ago restored. The museum also did not pass by. In 2010 it was reconstructed, and it became a more modern, modernized complex, working on the technology "smart house". Holy Vvedensky Monastery

The sights of the Veil are very diverse, so there are even such places for believers. What are we talking about?

A special attraction for Orthodox tourists is the Vvedensky Monastery, located on the island of the Vvedensky Lake. It was founded, according to official data, in 1708 by the monks Sergius and Timothy. For many centuries he had his own treasury, in possession were agricultural lands and forests. When he worked there was a school where 13 students (mostly boys) went to school. However, after the revolution it was closed down, and property was nationalized. In some parts of the building, religious services were held for several years by the two Mother Superiores. And the rest of the rooms began to be used as homes for the elderly and disabled. After a certain period of time, they opened an orphanage. Years later, an educational colony for teenage girls opened on the territory of this monastery. Also for these juvenile criminals opened a school, removing the domes from the churches. And in one of them the cinema hall started working.

After the collapse of the Union, the temple began to gradually return its religious purpose. It lasted a long time, because during the Soviet period museums, gyms, clubs, workshops were built here. One part was made a female abode, the destroyed belfries were rebuilt. The first church service was spent on Orthodox Christmas in 1995.

Cathedral

It was built in the second half of the 17th century on the site of a burnt-out wooden church. At present, thanks to the restoration, this cathedral is in good condition and attractive in its architecture.

Kirzhach

The city of the Pokrov of the Vladimir region, whose sights are of particular importance, is the seat of an important memorial. It is located on the road to Kirzhach. Many know that it was in this area that the tragic death of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin occurred. This memorial is presented in the form of a stele length of 16 meters.
