The culture of the Homeric period left few monuments of architecture, and this time humanity knows mainly from Homer's poems. His "Odyssey" and "Iliad" became the main sources of evidence of those times.

At that time, the culture of Ancient Greece began to develop painted ceramics. Gravestone vases, vessels of household use, remotely resembling shapes of the human body, wore geometric patterns. Later, more subtle and expressive lines began to appear, images of people and animals. Then the Greeks began to depict people in the form of figurines made of clay, bone or bronze.

The culture of Ancient Greece gave the world a sculpture of Aphrodite of Milos, depicted in the form of a simple girl whose beauty and dignity are embodied in marble by an unknown master.

The culture of Ancient Greece is based on love and beauty. It traces the cult of Aphrodite, love sang all around and the Amur arrows often connected not only heterosexual, but also same-sex Greeks, which in those days was considered quite normal. Marriage of the ancient Greeks was perceived purely in practice - family, children, upbringing, but love is another matter and it sometimes took the most unexpected and bizarre forms.

The culture of Ancient Greece gave the world the Olympic Games, which, according to legend, founded Hercules and they were held in honor of Zeus. Since that time, games are taken in turn in different countries around the world. And the Olympic flame begins its march with Olympia.
