• The product can be installed for the entire width of the room or for the width of the window, while it should protrude beyond the slopes of the opening by 40 cm.

Features of wall mounting

Installation of the cornice on the wall is to fix the bracket, which will keep the curtain directly. For wooden and plastic parts, one dowel and a self-tapping screw are used, for metal ones - three.

Installation of a wall ledge consists of the following steps:

1. Marking the brackets using a tape measure, a level and a pencil, which you need to remember about the general rules for fixing the decorative element: it should not interfere with opening the window, the curtain should flow beautifully, do not cling to the windowsill and battery.
2. Drilling holes for dowels with a perforator or impact drill, their installation.
3. Mount brackets with screws using a screwdriver or a screwdriver.

After doing these works, it is necessary to make sure that the brackets are fixed at the same level and have the same distance from the window.

1. When installing the rod, it is necessary to consider its length, if it exceeds two meters, it is recommended to use the third bracket, which is fixed in the middle. • Then drill the holes for fastening in the cornice itself, the first groove is made in the middle, the rest - at an equal distance from it, the heavier the curtains, the greater the number of holes;
• A tire with drilled holes is applied to the ceiling and a central hole is marked, the mark is punched with a perforator, a dowel is inserted and the cornice is attached to one screwdriver;
• Level the product with a level, mark all the other holes, drill them and fix the tire to the ceiling on the dowel-nails.

Profile cornice has a rich color scheme, which allows you to choose it in the tone of the curtain or ceiling. Some models are equipped with a mechanical drive, which is very convenient when too long drapes do not allow you to open windows manually. Installation of cornices from the profile is carried out in the same way as the plastic tire.

Fastening curtains to plasterboard

The ceiling of plasterboard is not as strong as a concrete slab, so it is not recommended to hang a heavy cornice or massive curtains. However, there is no exception to the rules, you can attach any decorative element to the plasterboard, if you plan the whole design in advance.

To do this, during the installation of the ceiling, it is necessary to make mortgages from the beam in those places where the cornice is supposed to be fastened. In this case, the width and length of the mortgage must exceed the parameters of the product itself. Such an additional structure will ensure a reliable and strong fixation of the entire structure.

Features of fastening to a tension ceiling

When installing a stretch ceiling, the cornice is usually attached to the wall, but it can also be fixed on the fabric web. This method is absolutely safe if the fastening is done in accordance with simple rules. Installation of the eaves on the suspended ceiling includes the following:

• The choice of curtains before the installation of fabric cloth, this is necessary in order to properly choose the mortgage, the dimensions of which correspond to the parameters of the decorative product;
• The marking of the cornice fixation is carried out, in these places are attached bars of wood or plywood, strictly exposed to the level of the future ceiling;
• After the installation of the stretched fabric, a ceiling curtain is fixed to the pre-fixed consignment plates, while the fabric does not separate at the puncture points, special rings are attached to it, protecting the fabric from ruptures.
