Many nationalities wear it with chururidas - narrowed pants or with shalvar (wide and loose trousers). In some parts of India, men wear lunghi, which is a strip of cloth 2x1.5 m, sewn like a skirt. Distributed in the country and a long coat, such as shervan. Its length falls below the knees. Traditional clothing is made of silk, cotton, wool and khadi (a mixture of the above materials). Supplement the national Indian costume with headdresses such as a turban (artificially wrapped around the head fabric of 5 m long) and gandi (headdress in the form of a pilot's cap).

Representatives of many nationalities of India wear shalwar and kamiz. Shalwar are pants, very wide at the top and narrowed downwards. Kamize - an elongated tunic with side cuts. These clothes are very comfortable and beautiful. At the bottom of pants and tunic, these clothes are trimmed with hand embroidery. Cutouts are also decorated in a variety of ways. The complement to this traditional costume is a wide and long scarf (chunni or dupatta). In some areas, they wear a so-called lenga-choli, which is a suit made of a blouse (choli), skirts (lenga) and capes.

Among the rich population of the country, preferences are given to diamonds, rubies, pearls, emeralds and other precious stones in gold and platinum. Also much attention is paid to shoes.
