How venereal diseases are transmitted and manifested

Venereal diseases are of an infectious nature and are transmitted mainly through sexual intercourse. Due to the fact that all of them can have rather serious consequences, and to proceed thus asymptomatically, they are considered to be especially dangerous pathologies.

How do sexually transmitted diseases occur?

Since ancient times, the appearance of venereal diseases has been associated with a frivolous way of life. And, probably, therefore, the presence of a sexual infection was concealed, which led to numerous victims.

Syphilis becomes infectious only when it is in the human body, and gonorrhea almost does not manifest itself, especially in women, so it's not always possible to determine if your partner is ill.

It remains to be surprised at the carelessness with which many enter into sexual contact with unfamiliar people, and sometimes even strangers. After all, it is clear that the sexual partner so easily found in your bed is relatively light-minded about intimacy. And you can vouch for those with whom he spent his stormy nights?

But alcohol, as a rule, adopted before such an adventure, gives the person a feeling that everything is possible, everything on the shoulder. True, sexual infections do not count so, and sexually transmitted diseases do not slumber. And the one who said: "Yes, I just once, but what's wrong?" - brings the infection home. Note that in such a situation, even children who are infected are at risk!

The first signs of sexually transmitted diseases

And despite the fact that any good person has a clear conviction that his similar problem can not touch (because he believes those who are around at the moment), you need to know the "enemy" in person. So, how are venereal diseases manifested?

1. Syphilis

This infection is quite difficult to diagnose. Without special laboratory studies, no experienced doctor will diagnose syphilis based on external examinations.

It begins to appear only 3 weeks after infection. The first external sign is a reddish speck appearing on the genitals. It grows and thickens, becoming like a pea. Lymph nodes that are located near the site of infection soon increase.

2. Gonorrhea

She has abundant discharge from the genitals and soreness of urination. In addition, urge becomes frequent, and the amount of urine is small. Gonorrhea is lethargic and, if left untreated, leads to infertility in both men and women.

3. Soft chancroid and lymphogranuloma

These venereal diseases manifest themselves as a purulent formation on the genital organs. With a soft chancre, this is a red spot with a pus filled with pus, and with a lymphogranuloma - a purulent sore.

Common symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases

There are also general signs that an infection has visited you. This pain when urinating, it increases, the appearance of discharge (they can be white, and greenish, and mucous), itching in the genitals, their redness. Often the discharge becomes an unpleasant odor. Infection can be accompanied by an increase in temperature. Men have pain in the scrotum, which eventually spreads to the sacrum and lumbar region.

What to do?

The list of sexually transmitted diseases is impressive, it already includes more than 20 types of infections. Maybe you should not treat this problem as something of a "different life"? Elementary ways of protection and maximum cleanliness in a relationship will make you a lucky person who does not know what venereal diseases are!
