Take the length according to the measured circumference of the head plus the allowance for gluing. Usually it is added about 3 cm. If there is no strip of the necessary length and width, it is possible to paste a narrow strip on the side of the nape.
3. Collar the strip and overlap. You can use a stapler for greater strength.
4. For decorative purposes, it is necessary to glue the surface with beautiful paper or at least just the right color. This step is worth doing, if you wrap the workpiece you will be a transparent material, if not - leave the brown cardboard as is.
5. Take the prepared cloth. Try on the size of the flap you need.
6. Put in one or several layers of prepared material (you can make a blank of several flaps of different shades, laid one on top of the other).
7. Wrap the cardboard ring so that the loose ends remain on one side, which will be the top of the headgear.
8. Tie loose pieces of fabric with satin ribbon or beautiful braid.
9. Sew on the fabric "wrapper" decorative elements. If the material is used transparent, decorations can be pasted, on the contrary, onto a cardboard base. Use elements cut from color paper in the form of sweets, real small candy, beads, circles - in a word, what is at hand or seems to be suitable for you.

How to make a decorative candy

Whichever way you make a candy suit with your own hands, you can decorate it with an additional accessory - a large candy that the girl can pick up or, if you attach the strap, put on as an original handbag. The candy can be made from foam, a cardboard box of a suitable size and shape or a sheet of cardboard.

The work is done like this:

1. Cut a piece of foam of the appropriate size. If the thickness is small, make a workpiece of two identical thin ones. If you have a suitable box, just prepare it. If there is no polystyrene or boxes, take a sheet of cardboard and roll a tube out of it, as you did for a cap, glue the seam.
2. Wrap the workpiece with corrugated paper.
3. Tie the edges with ribbons to form a candy shape.
4. If necessary, attach a loop or strap for easy wearing.
