On products for children and adults, it is often necessary to perform the beginning of a stretchable fabric. For this purpose, there are special methods for setting up loops for an elastic edge. And they are designed for both spokes and hooks. Therefore, needlewomen can choose a convenient technique for any knitting.

This technology is still called the Italian set. Work is supposed to start with spokes half as large as the main fabric. Loops need to be recruited half as often as needed for the drawing. Knitting requires a small string of contrasting color.

Take two threads together. Auxiliary wrap around the thumb. The main throw over the index. Recruit loops as usual. On the knitting needles there should be loops from the main yarn, and the auxiliary will be stretched through them.

After this set of loops for the elastic edge, the first rows must be connected with the same spokes:

• Between the two edges alternate the purl and cape;
• Those loops, which in the last row were purl, perform facial, peel off to remove with purlins, passing the thread in front of them;
• The third and 3 more rows are supposed to knit similarly to the second.

You should get an edge visually similar to a three-row binding. Now you can switch to normal knitting needles and knit an elastic band 1x1 on all hinges.

After two rows, remove the auxiliary thread. On the lower edge small loops appear. Now you need to find the leftmost and pull for it. All the rest will hide in a small tail of the extreme loop.

It is convenient to apply it at the beginning of the work. But needlewomen are advised to use such a set of loops for an elastic edge, which is necessary for lengthening the row.

This technique does not involve leaving a long free end. It is enough to take a thread so that it is enough for one loop, which is performed on one spoke.

Now you need to shift it into your left hand. In the right one take the free one. On the far wall of the loop, tie one front. Remove it to the one already on the left spoke. Continue this knitting until the desired chain is typed.

It is necessary in products where a normal set pulls its bottom or top. Especially important is the elasticity in children's things. The needlewomen can choose any of the proposed options (there are 4 of them), depending on which one is more suitable for a particular product.

On the basis of a half-shell with a crochet

Start to rely on a chain of three air. Make a cape, enter the hook at the beginning of the chain. Pull out the thread. To pierce a loop in it. At this point, the hook has three loops. Now it is supposed to pick up the thread and tie all the loops. Repeat drawing from the crochet. But you must enter the hook at the top of the top bar.

On the basis of a column with a crochet

This set requires a chain of four loops. Execute the crochet and stretch the thread through the first air chain. On it to connect the column with the crochet. Then again make a crochet and insert a hook into the base of the previous one. This will be the basis for starting another column with a crochet. Continue knitting such elements.

In fact, this set of loops for the elastic edge repeats the previous two. Only the basis will be a chain of two air. Then you do not need a crochet. Immediately insert the hook into the beginning of the chain to pull the thread. On it to connect the air. Then tie two loops on the hook. Repeat the steps for one more column without the crochet until the end of the elastic chaining chain.

Based on connecting loops

To start it again, you need a chain of two air loops. As in the previous method, insert the hook into the first and draw the yarn. Again pick up the thread and tie both loops on the hook. Remove the thread from the base of the connecting column. This is the basis for a new connecting post. They are supposed to knit to the desired length.
