Pineapples can now be bought in almost any supermarket, in the market and even in a small fruit store. They are sold fresh, frozen, canned, in the form of candied fruits. Of course, the maximum benefit can bring a fresh fruit, especially if it is correctly selected. Experts advise to purchase large pineapples with a pleasant smell and moderately soft "bumps". In this case, the fruit should smell rather pleasantly, and the greens on its top - slightly rotate, but not be withered. And, of course, there should be no traces of damage or mold on the bump itself.
Some people, using pineapple as a separate dish, do not clean it at all, but simply cut into slices according to the principle of watermelon. In general, such a flow is rather spectacular, but it will be inconvenient to eat fruit. Before starting the process, you need to figure out how to clean pineapple will be most convenient. For this purpose, special devices are sold, but in an ordinary kitchen they can hardly be found. So that an ordinary knife will fit, only it must be large and necessarily sharp.

Sometimes pineapple is used entirely to decorate the table. In this case, it is not cleaned, but carefully selects the entire core, cutting off the crown. Then in an empty "bump" you can put chopped flesh of fruit or other fruits, making a fruit salad with a beautiful serving.
