How to make strawberry mousse: a recipe with egg whites, cottage cheese or a mango

Strawberry is a delicious summer berry, which is loved by both adults and children. In a season it is possible (and even it is necessary) to indulge itself and the house, having offered them a strawberry mousse. This traditional French dessert - light and airy - can be cooked with both proteins, and with cottage cheese or a mango. All these recipes you will find in our article. In addition, the calorie content is low - only 214 kcal, so even those who follow a diet can afford such a pleasure.

Strawberry mousse: recipe with egg whites

This way of cooking can be called classic, because it's how dessert is cooked in its historic homeland, in France. For 3-4 servings you will need:

  • 400 g strawberries (in summer - fresh, in winter you can take frozen);
  • 100 g of sugar;
  • 3 raw egg whites;
  • 10 g of gelatin.

Wash the berries, then wipe them through a sieve or whisk in a puree with a blender. Add soaked in 4 tbsp. L. Hot water gelatin (after the swelling it needs to be heated on the plate until the crystals dissolve). Egg whites whisk with sugar until a thick foam, and without turning off the mixer, add a tablespoon of strawberry puree. Ready mousse spread on glasses or kremankam and cool for several hours. Before serving, decorate the dessert with halves of fresh berries.

Strawberry mousse: recipe with cottage cheese

This dish is especially popular with children. By the way, it is not only tasty, but also useful - berries contain useful vitamins, and cottage cheese will give the child the necessary amount of calcium. For preparation of delicacies, take:

  • 200 g fresh cottage cheese (for those who count calories, you can take low-fat);
  • 100 g of natural yogurt;
  • 300 g of strawberries;
  • 2 tbsp. L. Sahara;
  • A teaspoon of cocoa or grated dark chocolate;
  • Mint leaves for decoration.

First, whisk the cheese thoroughly with yogurt and sugar until smooth (there should not be lumps and sugar grains in it). The resulting thick cream should be put in small dessert glasses, filling them about half. In the remaining mass, add two-thirds of the strawberries (200 g) and beat until an airy consistency of pink color - this will be the second layer, which must be put into the glasses. To decorate the remaining berries cut slices, lay on top of the curd mass, sprinkle cocoa or grated chocolate. Each serving can be decorated with a piece of mint. Strawberry mousse, the recipe of which is very simple and takes about 10 minutes, should stick a little in the fridge. After that you can enjoy a delicious combination of cottage cheese and fragrant strawberry berries.

Strawberry mousse: recipe with a manga

Even if you do not like semolina from childhood, try mousse on a manga. It turns out a delicious dessert, where the croup is not felt at all - just a light mass with berry flavor. For preparation you will need:

  • 300 g (1 glass) of fresh strawberries;
  • 2/3 - 1 cup of granulated sugar (depending on the acid of the berries);
  • 3 cups of water;
  • 3 tbsp. Spoons with a slice of semolina.

Whisk the strawberries in the blender, and then squeeze the mass thoroughly through the gauze. In a separate bowl, merge the resulting juice. What is left after pressing, pour three glasses of water and boil, then strain through a sieve. On the strawberry water obtained in this way, cook semolina with added sugar (orient to your taste - you may need from half to 1 cup of granulated sugar). In the ready-made mango pour in the strawberry juice and then start whipping. To achieve the best result at this stage of cooking, put the pan in very cold water. After about 5-7 minutes, the mass will reach the desired consistency. And then it needs to be spread out into molds and put in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
