Slice the wax into pieces and remove the wick or its remains, prepare a water bath. It is better for her to use old metal utensils, in which you will no longer cook food. So, on the water bath you need to melt the wax, and while it is heated, prepare the form, which then fill the candle. Suppose for starters it would be an ordinary metal can of condensed milk, in the bottom of which you need to make a small hole.

Next, before you make a candle, you will need to make a wick for it. This is easy: take any cotton thread, measure the desired length of the wick (you can fold the thread twice or thrice, depending on the thickness of the future candle), put one end of the thread into the mold, thread it through the hole and secure it from the outside with a small piece of wax. The second end is tied to a pencil or any other stick that is placed on top of the mold so that the thread is inside the can in the center, in a slightly stretched state.

If you think how to make a candle of a different color, then this is also easy. You just need the usual wax crayons for drawing, and the one you want to color is fine-grained and added to the wax, carefully mixing everything until you get a uniform color. For a smell, you can drop a few drops of aromatic oil there, but after removing the wax from the fire. Now that the mold is ready, and the wax is melted, you can carefully pour it into the mold. After that, leave the future candle to cool down, as required. When it cools, you can put it in the refrigerator for several hours, then remove it from the mold. Yes, adding some components to the molten composition, you can make it so that the candle will burn in yellow, red, green or blue flame. But with such special effects you need to be very careful, because the ingredients that make the spark colorful - nothing more than chemical reagents. Otherwise, the process can become so exciting that even if you look, you will have to open your own business.
