How to brew red currant compote?

What can be tastier and more useful than a compote made from currant? All, of course, the amateur, but fans of this drink is still a lot. How to properly prepare it? What ingredients, besides the most, actually, currants, you need to add in order to make it taste simply unforgettable? Using the recipes listed below, you can prepare the most unforgettable compotes, which, if rolled under the lid, will decorate your table in the winter.

Red currant compote

Before proceeding to the list of necessary ingredients, I would like to say that the red currant compote is very useful at least in that it contains a considerable amount of useful substances and vitamins necessary for the normal life of the human body. This drink perfectly quenches thirst in the summer and pleases the eye with its bright color in the winter.

To prepare you need:

  • 1 kg of currant (with twigs);
  • 0.5 liters of purified water;
  • 0,25 kg of sugar-sand.

As you can see, the list of ingredients is minimal, but in spite of this, from them you can prepare compote of red currant with an unforgettable taste.

To begin, make the primary processing of the berries themselves. As indicated in the list of ingredients, they are taken with the calculation of the weight of the branches. Many believe that the twigs when cooking the drink must be broken - in fact, this is not so. Therefore, it will be enough just to wash the brushes well and put them in pre-prepared dishes - a saucepan will do.

To make compote, you need a syrup, which is the time to cook. To do this, you need to take water and sugar, mix these two ingredients and boil. After you remove it from the plate, immediately fill the currant and immediately cover the pan with a lid. Allow the compote to steep for several hours, so that the taste is the brightest, and then drain and cool in the refrigerator.

From this ratio of ingredients, a very rich drink is obtained. Therefore, if you want you can take a little more water - all at your discretion. Alternatively, you can dilute it when used.

Black currant compote

Black currant is no less useful berry. Therefore, sometimes it is worth preparing and compote of it, at least in order to replenish your vitamin supply.

To prepare you need:

  • 200 g of black currant berries;
  • 3 tbsp. L. Sahara;
  • 2 liters of purified water

As you can see, the ingredients are practically the same as in the previous recipe: currants, sugar and water, but their number varies. In order to get the drink you need, you can change the number of products.

Start cooking with a blackcurrant rinse.

Now choose the pan that suits you the size and fill it with water, put it on the stove. When the water boils, it's time to pour the berries into it. You can do this in a different way: drop them in a colander. In any case, you need to hold a little currant in boiling water (for 3-4 minutes), and then get them from there. So the option with the colander is the most optimal.

So your compote will not be very concentrated. Therefore, there is another option: when the berries are in boiling water, they can be rubbed through a colander, and then get the leftovers.

In any case, in the end, all ends with the addition of sugar and compote is removed from the plate and insisted for some time under the closed lid.

Now you know how to make a compote of red currant and black. As you already understood, this is very easy and does not require a lot of money.

You can brew a drink from other berries, especially since this is very easy - according to the scheme of cooking compote from the currant. You can try combining berries and add other ingredients to them, for example, mint, which can bring freshness to the already cooled beverage.
