How do I take a screenshot?

Often there is a situation where you do not know how to take a screenshot, but it's just necessary. That is, you want to take a picture of the monitor screen with all its contents or part of the screen. A screenshot calls Screenshot (or screenshot in Russian).

Screenshot, as we have already noted, is a screenshot of the computer, that is, an image of what the user sees on the monitor.

Here are a few examples, for which you might need to take a screenshot.

1. In the work you have encountered any mistake or problem, decided to ask for help, but do not know how to explain your question. A photo of the screen will be able to demonstrate everything that happens to your computer and reflect the problem, so you do not have to explain for a long time what troubles you. Convenient and very fast!
2. You are a student of the Faculty of Computer Science, Economics Faculty and so on, or simply you were asked to write a paper on computer science. In order for the abstract or course work to be rated more highly, you need images of work in any program. And then there will be a question how to take a screenshot.
3. You are engaged in writing instructions to computer programs, and illustrations will help you to more clearly show the work with it, help beginners solve many problems.
4. You are a fan of computer games and would like to share the brightest moments with your friends.

In other words, whether you are working, playing or studying, there can always be a question how to take a picture from the screen. In total, you can select two methods for creating a monitor photo - standard using the "Print Screen" button (prt scr) or using the program. Let's start with the simpler method that is used most often.

Button "Print Screen"

In the event that you have to make screenshots quite rarely, it is best to use the "Prt Scr" button on your keyboard or Print Screen. To do this, just click on it. You will not feel any changes. However, the monitor screen will already be photographed, and the snapshot is currently in the clipboard. You can only extract it and save it. To do this, you need to use the program Paint or Photoshop. And if the latter can be installed far from all computers, then Paint is a standard program that allows you to save the created picture of the monitor.

To save the image, click on the "Start" button and select "All Programs". A large list will open, in which we are looking for "Standard". Here we open the Paint program. When the program is loaded and ready to work, click on the button "Clipboard" and select "Paste." Alternatively, you can just press the Ctrl and V keys. The picture will be inserted automatically. If you have Office 2003 installed on your computer, then select the "Edit" tab and the "Paste" line in it. Now we see the necessary image of your monitor and already know how to take a screenshot. It remains only to save the image in the required format and use it in the work, show it to friends or on the forum. To do this, select "Save As" and save the file in the required folder.

Scissors

If you have Windows 7 or Windows Vista, then by default in the "Standard" you will find the program "Scissors", which will make the screenshot even easier. Open the program. You will see a window where you are asked to select the required area. Cursors you select an area that you want to put into work or show to friends, and it automatically gets into the program. Now it remains only to save the picture in the required format.

There are other programs that help to solve the problem of how to take a screenshot. These are programs like Floomby, Magic Screenshot, PrtScr and others. But these two methods are used most often and do not require you to install additional software on your computer.
