How birds fly: training a chick in flight

Never thought about the question, how do birds learn to fly? This is a truly magnificent and at the same time funny spectacle, when the child is not yet fully grown up for the first time "rises" on the wing. However, not all birds have the first flight at the proper level, and most often each chick feels the pain of falls and the bitterness of failures, so the mother's example is very important for him. It is she who shows him for the first time how birds fly, accustoming her chick almost from birth to a high altitude. After all, absolutely all the birds build their nests high on the tree, and this is not only to protect the offspring, peace and quiet. The majority are located at a very high altitude and to ensure that the chick from the very beginning accustomed to unusual sensations for tens of meters above the ground. After all, if it does not exist, the bird is doomed to destruction, since it does not develop a natural instinct at all.

Many of us have seen how birds fly. Their flight - it's something fascinating, not giving tear off the look. And each bird has its own, unique style, when it spreads its wings and soars high into the sky. And that this flight would leave as pleasantly and comfortably as possible, the birds study for weeks at a time, or even months.

Since in the wild nature of the birds are trained to fly independently, let's talk about their training in captivity. Imagine for a moment that you are growing up a chick, which you need to teach everything: flight, food, hiding from enemies. And show him how birds fly, you can only, more precisely, push him to this crucial step.

First of all, it is necessary to carefully calculate the age of the chick when it is psychologically ready for flight. Most often it becomes visible, since the bird is already trying to get on the wing. Even if he had not yet seen how birds fly, his instincts themselves will prompt how to act and what to do.

The first flight should take place only in a safe environment. It is preferable to choose a fenced territory with several trees. The latter will help the bird feel more comfortable. Do not try to conduct any training, as they say, "from under the stick." It still does not lead to anything good, because your bird will not be able to learn how to fly without wanting it.

When a suitable territory is found, it is necessary to take care of any low barriers to which you will plant your baby. The first steps to mastering the height must be done only (!) From a small height. Let it be a coffee table or a chair - for a start, and that's enough.

Once the chick has learned to fly from "low altitude", you can gradually increase the distance. The best way is to throw it in the air. The first time it can scare it, but in the future it will become familiar and will fly away from you.

So, gradually you will see progress in the process, and eventually become a "teacher" in the bird flight. All the birds can see the photos of flying birds, but not everyone can teach the bird the most important thing in his life!
