Every pregnant woman who goes on an antenatal holiday can count on the payment of benefits. The law provides for the appointment of a state benefit from 30 weeks of pregnancy to such categories of citizens as female students, female soldiers, working women and those who were dismissed in connection with the liquidation of the enterprise and put on the register by the employment center of the population. Such a category of pregnant women, as unemployed, not registered in employment centers, benefits are not assigned.

In January 2011, new rules for the calculation of benefits began to operate. In the new rules for the period of 1.01.2011 to 31.12.2012, there are two ways how to charge maternity leave, taking into account the average daily earnings or for two previous calendar years, or an annual period. When writing an application, you must specify which method of calculating maternal decretals is preferable: old or new.


The timing and the scheme, as paid maternity, for the category of working women are similar to the process of obtaining wages. If the payment of wages has been made beforehand by transferring money to a bank card, the payment of the benefit will also be made in the same way.
The difference is only in what terms are paid maternity leave. The term, allocated by the state to the procedure for granting the benefit, is 10 days. However, the very payment or transfer occurs on the next day of the salary
Knowing how to pay maternity, a pregnant woman will know exactly when and how much it will be transferred. The calculation of this allowance takes into account the 100 percent average earnings. The only condition is that the work experience must be at least 6 months. There is also a limit on the maximum amount of payment. In 2012, the allowance was indexed by 6%. If the experience of the pregnant woman is less than 6 months, then the question of how the maternity is paid is taken into account the amount of the subsistence minimum.
In addition, the calculation of average daily earnings includes a number of payments made during the accounting period, the list of which is listed in the Regulations on the features of the accrual of benefits. According to him, for paid maternity payments, paid sick leave, travel and holiday tickets are not taken into account. Not only the amounts of payments are calculated, but also the periods for which these payments were made.
The procedure for calculating maternity leave includes multiplying the average daily income by a number equal to the number of days on maternity leave, that is, equal to 140.
The future mother should not forget that in addition to the allowance for pregnancy and childbirth, she is also entitled to other payments. The allowance for the fact that a pregnant woman was registered at an early age (up to 12 weeks) of pregnancy in 2012 is 465.2 rubles. After giving birth, a young mother can count on the payment of a childbirth allowance. Payment of this benefit is made at a time, on the fact of birth, all categories of women in childbirth, regardless of whether the woman worked on the eve. The size of the benefit in 2012 is 12.405,31 rubles. The next benefit, which has the right to issue and receive the mothers of the kids before reaching the age of one and a half, is payments related to the care of the child. There are restrictions to this benefit - from a minimum of 2325.99 rubles to a maximum of 13825.75 rubles. In addition to the above federal payments, there are regional payments. In each region, there are payments and features of their receipt.
