"Avangard" (Omsk) is a hockey club from the famous Siberian town. Attention to hockey here is much more intimate than to other sports. After all, Siberian severe frosts have to ensure that most of the townspeople love the winter sport №1. This city just lives hockey. None of the away matches can not do without a support group, no matter how far they have to get fans, and it does not matter whether it's Vladivostok or Bratislava. But the team is ill not only in Omsk. Fans of the "Vanguard" live in all corners of our vast homeland, they are happy to see their favorite team in their cities.

Briefly about the history

Hockey club "Avangard" - a team with history and traditions. It was founded 66 years ago, but during this time I was able to win many awards. Champions of Russia in 2004, repeated prizewinners of the Russian championships, winners and prize-winners of various international tournaments, and finally the finalists of the Gagarin Cup in 2012, who almost became its owners (the series with the Moscow "Dynamo" ended with a score of 3-4 not in favor of Omsk citizens) .

The club brought up not only Russian, but also world hockey stars. Among them, a special place is occupied by the Olympic champion Viktor Blinov, after whom the former home arena of the "Vanguard" was named. World champions in the national teams of the USSR and Russia were Yuri Shatalov, Anton Kuryanov, Alexander Perezhogin, Nikita Nikitin, Alexander Svitov, Sergei Kalinin.

"Avangard" (Omsk) is a hockey club that always sets ambitious goals. This is due not only to the fact that the team craves titles. Omsk hockey players play primarily for the sake of fans. By the way, the club pays much attention to social responsibility. In the Continental Hockey League, the big impact on results is played by business, and the financial side of the game is sometimes decisive. But Avangard is one of those teams that harmoniously combine the commercial component and social function, which is primarily in the development of children's and youth hockey, in the popularization of this sport in the region, in supporting the fans. But also the correctly selected composition is the most important element of the club's work.

Coaching staff

To play for the hockey club "Vanguard" many hockey players dream, but for achievement of result the correct selection of players and maintenance of teamwork of a structure is necessary. Building a game is an essential component of the success of any hockey team. After all, hockey is a team sport. Individual skill here goes to the background.

Tactics, which adheres to the team, should be worked through to the smallest detail. It takes into account every situation, every possible turn of events. For all this, the coaching staff is responsible. The main coach of the "Vanguard" is Evgeny Alexandrovich Kornoukhov. Together with him, the club is taught to win Andrei Vasilyevich Yakovenko and Yury Alexandrovich Panov. Sergey Kravtsov is responsible for the irreproachable game of goalkeepers. All these people are experienced specialists whose professionalism is beyond doubt.

Goalkeepers

Goalkeepers in "Vanguard" is not so much, as, probably, I would like the head coach of the team. However, these 2 people perfectly cope with the task set before them. The main goalkeeper of the team is Dominic Fourch, a Czech hockey player whose career in the KHL began only this season. The player is young (he is only 25), but not green, because he managed to win 8 years at the highest level of the Czech Championship for Prague's "Slavia".

His partner on the goalkeeper's line, Denis Kostin, even younger, is only 20. However, he already passed the school of the Avangard Pharmaceutical Club, which plays in the Youth Hockey League called Omsk Hawks, as well as for the Russian youth team . The first matches in the playoffs, however, still trust only the Czech goalkeeper.

Defenders

Defensive redoubts of "Vanguard" in this season are quite good, but 120 missed goals for the season - the average result, and the defenders could work better. However, in the playoffs the situation should become even better. In general, the line of defense is as follows: Yuri Alexandrov, Michal Kempny, Yunas Anelyov, Valery Vasilyev, Sergey Gusev, Denis Kulyash, Yevgeny Kulik, Ilya Derwuk, Nikolay Glukhov, Ivan Lekomtsev, Andrey Pervyshin.

There are not so many Legionnaires in defense: it's Yunas Anelyov from Sweden, and also Michal Kempny. The latter, by the way, has the highest rate of utility in the regular season - +18. He is also the leader among defenders on the scoring points (5 + 16). But it is worth noting that the hockey club "Avangard" has never been addicted to the invitation of foreign hockey players, always relying on the domestic "producer".

Forwards

With the effectiveness of the wards Eugene Kornoukhova in the past regular season, everything was not the best way. 11th place in terms of performance - an indicator that clearly does not match the potential of the current composition of the "Vanguard". The list of the club's forwarders is as follows: Nikolai Lemtyugov, Maxim Kazakov, Vladimir Sobotka, Yuri Petrov, Anton Kuryanov, Alexander Chernikov, Alexey Glukhov, Alexander Popov, Pyotr Khokhryakov, Denis Parshin, Artur Lauta, Alexander Perezhogin, Ilya Zubov, Valentin Pianov, Ilya Mikheev, Anton Burdasov, Ivan Fischenko, Martin Erat.

The most productive and at the same time the most valuable player of the team is Alexander Perezhogin (15 + 21), whose utility score is +21. However, he played 12 matches more than the captain of the Czech team Vladimir Sobotka, who scored 34 points in the season (18 + 16) and has an utility score of +17. Also among the attackers, Denis Parshin (10 + 21) and Ilya Zubov (8 + 22) have high performance. Legionnaires in the attack only two, they are both from the same country, the Czech Republic, but their role is extremely important, since Vladimir Sobotka is the captain of the team and one of the most productive players, and Martin Erit is the vice-captain.

Potential

"Vanguard" is a hockey club, the composition of which is mostly collected from Russians. This in many respects explains the good teamwork of the links, which is extremely important for obtaining the result. Four representatives of the Czech Republic and one representative of Sweden do not spoil the general picture, and even, on the contrary, only strengthen the team. In addition, Avangard is a hockey club, whose coaching staff is not afraid to attract young players, which indicates a good development of the system of youth hockey in Omsk.
