Guanabana. The use of exotic fruit

The guanaban plant growing in tropical America has many different names. They call it a sour apple, prickly annona and traviola. All these names denote an evergreen tree that spoils the inhabitants of Latin America with juicy, large and very useful fruits. The taste of guanabana is appreciated by gardeners around the world. Currently, this tree is cultivated in India and Australia, as well as in southern China.

The fruit of guanabana, which appears on the plant several times a year, reaches a length of thirty centimeters, while having a diameter of 15 cm. The exotic fruit can weigh up to seven kilograms. The inside of the fruit, divided into small segments, contains a juicy pulp, reminiscent of its consistency custard. To taste, guanabana reminds a little of strawberries and pineapple, while having a small sour citrus.

Sweet exotic fruit contains a large amount of carbohydrates. Often, as a natural medicine, the fruit of the tree of guanaban is used. The use of this fruit is contained in the ascorbic and folic acid present in it, as well as in iron and proteins, phosphorus and vitamins of group B.

If the tropical fruit is used regularly, then the body maintains the optimal intestinal microflora. The fruit of guanaban, the benefit of which lies in its ability to excrete toxins, helps fight extra pounds. "Sour apple" leads the liver to normal state. The extract obtained from guanabana is added to the tea for flavoring. In Latin American countries, milkshakes are very popular, in which the juice of "sour cream apple" is added. The pulp of tropical fruit serves as an excellent raw material for the preparation of jams, sorbets, jellies, and sweets. From the fermented juice of guanabana you get an alcoholic drink.
