Gorky Park, Perm - rest for every taste

One of the oldest parks in the city of Perm is the central amusement park, located in the Sverdlovsk region. It borders on Komsomolsky Prospekt. For two centuries of its existence, the park has repeatedly changed its name. Originally it was a country house, then - a country garden. After the revolution, it became the garden of the Public Assembly, and then the Red Garden. And only then it turned into a central park of culture and recreation - the Gorky Children's Park. Perm is proud of such a landmark, because it is one of the oldest parks of the city with a rich history that dates back to 1804 and is closely intertwined with the history of the regional center.

It was then on the initiative of the governor of the city KF Moderakh the city plan was developed. But in his project there was no park. On the border of the settlement for drainage of water, a ditch was dug. In order to strengthen it, they planted a birch alley, which laid the foundation for the Country Garden. There were walking tours of citizens, and crews could ride. This avenue has long been gone. Despite the fact that the main attraction is lost, thanks to which the Gorky Park appeared, Perm is ready to offer residents and guests of the city another, with the romantic name "Alley of Love". The newlyweds realize their first journey on it, having made their most cherished wish.

At the entrance to the park there is a stele, which in the 19th century marked the border of the city. This place is also famous for the fact that Emperor Alexander I solemnly entered Perm in 1824 through it. In honor of this visit, the construction of a rotunda that was installed on the territory of the Country Garden (the modern Gorky Park) was realized this year. Perm is proud of this structure, since at present it is a monument of town planning and architecture of federal significance. During the inspection of this landmark you can see a sign with an inscription that indicates the meeting of the emperor with the inhabitants of the city. In 1905 another historical monument was erected in the park, dedicated to the first unified political demonstration of Perm workers.

The park has entertainment for both children and adults. So, in the children's sector, designed for the youngest visitors, sandboxes are installed, there are platforms on which there are all kinds of swings, slides and carousels. For older children work slot machines, shooting galleries, various attractions, 4D-movie theater. In addition, there is a mini zoo where you can watch the squirrels, rabbits, ostriches or pheasants. And this is not all that Gorky Park (Perm) is famous for. The year 2013 marked the 209th anniversary of the former Country Garden.

This year, a new Ferris wheel was installed, the total weight of which is 162 tons. This attraction has 24 cabins, which rise to a height of 50 meters. A full turn of the wheel takes place for 5 minutes. But this is not all, what is attractive Gorky Park (Perm). Attractions, which numbered about 60, can be supplemented with one more - the prehistoric oceanarium located at the base of the Ferris wheel. Here, vacationers can admire the inhabitants of the ancient oceans and seas through 3D glasses. The oceanarium itself is a kind of labyrinth, consisting of 8 screens. At the same time, it can be visited by 100 people.
