Resorts of the Odessa region: how to get and what to prefer

Resorts of the Odessa region at the moment are among the most popular in Ukraine. They are great for both leisurely summer holidays and active tourism. There are a lot of interesting and unusual sights in the region. You can get to Odessa by car or bus from anywhere in Ukraine, or by train, which in most cases will take you to the southern capital in just one night. It is worth noting that many who rested in the Crimea, also reoriented to the Odessa direction due to the difficulties associated with crossing the border after the events of 2014. Also, Odessa resorts are popular among residents of Moldova, Belarus and Russia, as well as among the Balts.

In terms of recreation at sea the most popular resorts are Odessa itself, and Zatoka, Carolino-Bugaz, Sergeevka, Gribovka, Mykolaivka, Sanzheyka or Kuyalnitsky estuary. For many, the road to the popular resort of Koblevo also starts from Odessa, although geographically it is located in the Mykolayiv region.

For lovers of active tourism it will be interesting to begin acquaintance with the area of excursion around old Odessa with its cozy courtyards, visit Vilkovo, which is considered to be the Ukrainian Venice, get acquainted with the ancient Akkerman fortress in Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, taste the wines of famous brands. Many tourists choose excursions for the day abroad, since from Odessa it is literally a stone's throw to Tiraspol or Bender, and also to Chisinau.

You can get to most cities by buses and minibuses departing from Privoz station. Some of the resorts in the Odessa region are convenient for commuter trains.

In order to feel this place as much as possible, it is worth taking a few excursions, most to walk along the streets, to feel the local atmosphere. Fans of extreme can descend into the famous Odessa catacombs. Guests and lovers of summer holidays are invited to visit any of the beaches. The most popular are Arcadia, Lanzheron, Otrada, the lesser known ones are Dolphin, Luzanovka and Gold Coast. Zatoka and the Karolino-Bugaz

These resorts of the Odessa region are located 60 kilometers to the south of Odessa. They are one of the most popular holiday destinations in the area, forming a kind of conglomerate. You can get to them by bus or by train, which leaves from the central city station. The journey takes about an hour.

Zatoka and Karolino-Bugaz will be interesting for families with couples and children. Here is an excellent coastline and chic sandy beaches, the width of which in some places reaches a hundred meters. There is a large number of discos, nightclubs, children's attractions and other entertainment. The resort is washed on one side by the Dniester estuary, and on the other side by the Black Sea. The cost of living at the resorts starts from 100 hryvnia (300 rubles) per day per person.

Sergeevka - balneogryazevy resort

The resort of Sergeevka (Odessa region) is located 80 kilometers to the south of Odessa, not reaching the resort. It is a balneo-muddy resort, in the arsenal of which there are healing ingredients, available directly in the estuary. The town first of all will be of interest to fans of medical tourism, as in the Soviet time many sanatoriums were built here, which specialize in the treatment of mud baths. For many kilometers around there are no serious enterprises, so that air and water here are maximally clean.

The coastline is located one kilometer from the city. This distance can be traversed through the estuary or overcome on a boat. The level of prices for vacation in Sergeevka is slightly lower than for living in the more popular Zatoka. From Sergeevka it is convenient to go on excursions to Vilkovo, catacombs of Nerubaysky and to Belgorod-Dnestrovsky.

Gribovka and Sanzheyka

Gribovka (Odessa region) is located 30 kilometers from Odessa to the south, just behind the biggest port of Chernomorsk (formerly Illichivsk). Attracts tourists to untouched nature and wild beaches, as it is built up less than neighboring resorts. Thanks to the characteristic steppe landscape, Gribovka is considered one of the most beautiful places on the Black Sea coast. Most often, the city is chosen by the people of Odessa for a weekend holiday from the hustle and bustle of the big city. At the same time, the resort is attracted by youth companies, which have a place to have fun after swimming in the sea.

Nearby is another resort - Sanzheika, which mainly consists of the private sector. It will be interesting for recreation with children and lovers of silence, as there are no discos and night clubs in the town.

Other resorts of Odessa region

Fans of green tourism will be interested to visit the resorts of Tiligul, Lebedevka or Kuyalnik estuary. There are practically no standard conveniences in them. They will be interesting for tourists with tents or mobile homes. Such a holiday is not very expensive, it allows you to retire in nature, just relax in peace and tranquility. It should be noted that there may be a problem with shops or supermarkets, therefore it is worthwhile to stock up on drinking water, necessary food and basic necessities.
