Fence from the KDP: description, characteristics and reviews

Today, a large number of materials are used to make fences. Most often on personal plots you can find a wooden fence, metal mesh fences and structures from profiled sheets, supplemented with brick poles.

More recently, another option appeared on the market, which allowed to significantly diversify the design of the protective structures, namely the wood-polymer composite. The fence from the WPC is endowed with all the positive characteristics of products made from natural wood and plastic, without requiring permanent protective treatments and stains.

What are fences from the KDP?

Wood-polymer composite is a material, the main components of which are wood fibers and polymers (polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC). From these components a thick mixture is made, which, under the influence of high pressure, is given a definite shape. The finished product can have the form of a board, a profile or more complex elements from which protective structures of various types are assembled.

The DPK fence can be made in the classic design (in the form of vertically arranged boards), in the form of a blind fence (when the boards are installed between the two columns in a horizontal position) or consist of a large number of narrow elements that are arranged in a cross direction and diagonally.

The finished structure may resemble a product made of plastic or MDF, but in the first and in the second variant the fence has sufficiently high technical characteristics.

Positive features

Due to the fact that synthetic binders are present in the raw material, the material acquires a number of positive qualities that are not inherent in wood at all. Namely:

1. The fence from the KDP is not susceptible to rotting and settling with mold and fungi.

2. The material is resistant to moisture, ultraviolet radiation and sudden temperature changes.

3. All elements of the fence are finished and do not need additional processing.

4. During operation, the fence does not need to be periodically painted, just wipe it with a damp cloth.

5. Due to the low weight and ease of processing of the composite, these structures are very quickly and easily installed.

6. Rich color scale and a variety of texture allow you to choose a fence for any style of registration of the site and take into account all the taste preferences of the owner.

disadvantages

Fences from any materials have their shortcomings, the fence from the KDP was no exception. Comments from consumers speak only of two negative aspects of the product:

• susceptibility to mechanical damage;

• changing the dimensions of the boards during their operation.

Indeed, such a fence can easily be scratched or damaged by any sharp object. However, such defects are easily eliminated by means of special restoration pencils.

Long exposure to moisture and sun can lead to a slight deformation of the structural elements, which is why the manufacturer took into account the presence of special gaps, ensuring the free installation of all slats.

Installation

Anyone can take the fence from the KDP. Its design is so simple that you do not need to have special skills to build a fence.

The standard kit includes 5 basic parts:

• support poles performing a carrier function;

• stubs for supports;

• basic plates or boards;

• fasteners for fixing parts;

• various decorative elements.

The installation process begins with the installation of metal pipe-posts, on which a composite composite column is put on top. Elements are joined by horizontal profiles, to which the main boards and decorative inserts are fixed. Thus, the whole fence from the KDP gathers. Photo-instruction on installation manufacturer applies to the materials, so all that the master needs to create such a fence is attentiveness and accuracy.
