Does the Far East have minerals?

Amur, Kamchatka, Koryak, Magadan, Sakhalin and Chukotka regions, the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Republic of Sakha are listed on the map of the Far East. The minerals of this huge region of the eastern part of Russia have reserves that are unrivaled in terms of riches in the world.

Terrain reliefs

Three quarters of the Far Eastern territory are mountains, highlands and plateaus. Only the valleys of the rivers and coasts of the seas are marked by ravines. Deposits of minerals of the Far East are located almost everywhere, since there are features characteristic of underground pantries. However, it is not yet possible to determine precisely the type of occurrence, the quantity and quality of their content is not yet universally possible for many reasons. The conditions for mining in the Far East are quite complex for the following reasons.

1. A huge area is not geologically studied enough.

2. There is no infrastructure necessary for the development of deposits.

3. The reconnaissance terrain is extremely difficult to access.

4. Transportation to processors is too expensive.

5. The depth for extracting raw materials is insufficient.

6. A lot of no less valid reasons.

Nevertheless, the Far East is exploring minerals. Here is an approximate list of deposits that have already been identified. Rich deposits of ores of polymetallic, manganese, titanomagnetite, copper, iron are already listed in the list of developments of the near future.

Prospects

In stock, that is, explored, as well deposits of minerals such as oil and gas, apatite, rare and rare earth metals, silver and many others. Very soon the development of deposits of coal, tin, bauxite will begin. And the physical and chemical properties and characteristics are in full compliance with the current world standards.

Solves the transport problems of the Far East - minerals will be developed very quickly, since many such fields, which do not require large expenditures: it is possible to mine open-pit, that is, on the surface. In addition, the latest technologies should be used here both in geological exploration and in the mining industry.

Export

The richness of the bowels of our country is known throughout the world and serves as an object and reason for establishing relations between Russia and the rest of the world. The main exporters interested in the Far East mineral deposits are of course the countries of South and South-East Asia located in the neighboring regions. Japan, Korea, China are already among the buyers of our natural resources, trade with India, Pakistan and other countries of South Asia is developing.

The Chinese have long invested in the Far East, whose minerals are not comparable to the mineral resource base of the Celestial Empire, and indeed any other country. The Kimkan-Sutarsky Mining and Processing Complexes are being built on Chinese finances. And when China invests in construction, China builds it. So, soon the complex will be ready, as the Chinese organization of labor is beyond praise. It should be noted that there are still few Chinese projects, because even they do not always get to start production quickly: a very complicated process of all sorts of coordination for the land allocated to subsoil use.

Apart from coal and iron ores

The territories of the Far East keep in the bowels of the unique reserves of gold, platinum and diamonds. These deposits have long been developed and for the most part the development functions. Yakut diamonds fully compete in size and quality with South Africa - the best. True, the deposits themselves are not as large as in Africa. Explored subsoil Chukotka, Kamchatka and Sakhalin, where our country is also likely to be pleasant surprises in terms of precious metals and stones.

The Far East region is the country's leader in natural resources: precious metals, tungsten, tin, molybdenum, copper, niobium ... Tungsten reserves, for example, here about a million tons - 60% of the total Russian reserves. A molybdenum in the Far East 67% of all the reserves of Russia. Half of all production is produced here, more than 70% is exported.

Polymetal resources are also significant - forty percent of all-Russian reserves. Lead - 45%, zinc - 55%. There is also a lot of copper (Chukotka, the deposit is not being developed), niobium (the Far East is the main supplier), there are in large quantities all the ferrous metals except chromium. And the local ores are so rich that they practically do not require enrichment. To date, 827 rich deposits of 25 types of minerals have already been exploited.

Priorities

The assessment of the conditions for the extraction of minerals in the Far East is, of course, not negative. Just need to first of all to establish a transport connection. The East Siberian and Baikal-Amur Mainlines will not be able to pull out as much raw material as the Far East can supply. The minerals of this region require roads!

The same problem exists here with energy resources. Without access to electricity, mining, and even more so - processing of minerals, is impossible. Many copies have been broken in an attempt to overcome bureaucratic and regulatory norms that hinder the work of the mining industry in the region. You also need desperately cadres, benefits for them, new technologies, cash investments. In the absence of any of these conditions, all plans for the construction of any new mining complex in the Far East will perish.

"Golden" Kolyma

What are the ore deposits of those of the Far East, do they supply minerals for the country's gold reserves? Of course, Kolyma. And now there was a new word combination - "golden" Chukotka. Also, deposits are being developed in the upper reaches of the Selemdzhi, in the lower reaches of the Amur River, on the eastern slope of the Sikhote-Alin Range, on the right bank of Zeya. Found gold, whose reserves are worthy of extraction, on Sakhalin and in Kamchatka.

Prospects that the Far East has, extraction of minerals, precious metals in particular, are in the development of technologies that extract platinum group and gold nanoparticles from graphite rocks. The content of these precious metals is quite consistent and often exceeds the same indicators of the richest platinum-bearing deposits in the world. Such reserves have already been discovered in the Khabarovsk and Primorye Territories, as well as in the Jewish Autonomous Region.
