What is the caloric content of pepper stuffed with meat, rice, cheese or vegetables?

It can not be said that stuffed peppers are one of the most popular dishes of Russian cuisine, but with certainty it can be noted that every housewife cooked this hearty and delicious vegetable dish at least once. It can be served for dinner or as a second for lunch. Anyway, the basic recipe for cooking one, the difference is only in the filling. Caloric content of pepper stuffed depends on it, because the vegetable itself is quite dietetic, but depending on what you put inside, and the energy value of the dish will be determined. And do not forget about gravy - someone cooks it with tomato paste, which is a fairly low-calorie option, and someone with sour cream, the fat content of which speaks for itself. In this article, several recipes will be listed, as well as the calorie content of pepper stuffed depending on the filling that we use in one or another version. You will have to choose a dish for your taste. Anyone who prefers nourishing food or prepares mainly for men (and for them, meat-free food is not food), perhaps they will take note of pepper with meat stuffing, and specially for ladies or vegetarians there is a recipe with rice and gravy made from fresh tomatoes - is also a very delicious diet dish, the hallmark of which is low calorie.

Pepper stuffed with meat and mushrooms

To prepare a large portion for the whole family you will need:

- 600 g ground beef;
- 200 g of mushrooms, for example champignons - take fresh or pickled;
- 3 tbsp. Spoons of rice;
- 1.3 kg of sweet Bulgarian pepper (it will be beautiful if you take a multi-colored);
- 150 g of carrots are 2 medium roots;
- 2 onions;
- a pound of tomatoes;
- 1 bunch of fresh dill (in winter it can be replaced with a dry seasoning);
- vegetable oil, salt and black pepper.

First of the beef you need to make minced meat or buy ready. Finely chop the onions and dill, and grate the carrots on a large grater. Mushrooms cut into small pieces. Tomatoes peeled off the skin (to do this, pour the vegetables with boiling water and leave for 1 minute - the cuticle after that will be very easy to leave), pulp cut into cubes. In a frying pan in vegetable oil, it is necessary first to fry the onions until transparent, and afterwards place the carrots. Do not forget to stir! In turn, tomatoes: combine them with carrots and onions and cook until all the liquid has evaporated. This mixture (but not all, but two thirds) should be mixed with minced meat, add rice (raw), mushrooms (if picking pickled, then pour and a little brine), dill and mix thoroughly. Salt and pepper. The filling is ready. After that, you should take pepper: you need to wash the vegetables, remove the stem and seeds. The cavity should be clean. And now stuff the pepper with minced meat, put everything in a deep saucepan, pour about 2/3 with boiling water. In the cooking tank should be put and the remaining fried vegetables. Next, cover the pan with a lid and leave to cook over medium heat for about 45 minutes. At the very end, try the liquid - if there is not enough salt, then add a little. You can also put a laurel leaf. You can serve the dish with sour cream, or you can simply pour the remaining liquid, where it's good to add 2-3 st. L. Tomato paste. Caloric content of pepper stuffed in this case will be about 190-200 kcal per 100 g. Considering that the usual serving is at least 300-400 g (this is 2 peppers), the second for lunch or dinner will turn out to be quite high-calorie. Therefore, if you follow a diet or do not eat meat, try the following recipe.

Pepper stuffed with rice

The caloric content of this dish is only 100 kcal per 100 g, which is half as much as the previous recipe. Therefore, if you prefer a vegetarian diet or just want to make a light dinner, take this recipe for a note. For him, prepare:

- 12 pcs. Bulgarian medium-sized pepper;
- 1 kg of tomatoes;
- 0.5 kg of carrots;
- 4 large bulbs;
- 1 cup of rice, which must be brought to half-ready (the grain should be moderately hard);
- vegetable oil, fresh herbs to taste, salt and pepper.

Two and a half bulbs finely chop, grate the carrots on a large grater. In a frying pan with vegetable oil, put the onion and fry until transparent, and then place carrots there. Pass vegetables about 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. After the frying pan remove from the plate and add the semi-finished rice. Salt and pepper the filling. Pepper should be prepared in the same way as described in the previous recipe - thoroughly rinse, cut the stem and seeds. After filling with rice, mixed with vegetables, put in a pan of the right size. For the sauce, pass through a meat grinder or chop 1 kg of tomatoes into a blender until smooth. Pour them stuffed peppers and put on a slow fire for 1 hour. If necessary, you can add some water at the end of the process. Approximately 10 minutes before the dish is ready, leave the remaining onion (1,5 bulbs) and chop the greens, put in a frying pan and fry. Add this mixture in a saucepan with pepper, sprinkle a little. After everything is ready, allow the dish to brew for 15-20 minutes. And then you can serve on the table. As we have already mentioned, the caloric content of pepper stuffed in this case will be about 100 kcal per 100 g, so there is simply no way to find a better option for a light dinner! By the way, if you prefer a vegetable with other fillings and stuffing pepper, for example, with cheese, then the caloric content of this dish will be 228 kcal per 100 g, if the cheese and tomatoes - 119 kcal. It remains only to choose the option that you prefer, or which most closely matches your diet.
