Vladimir Fetin is a Soviet director, the creator of the famous comedy "Striped Flight". He made a few films, but each of them fell in love with the audience.

Biography

The future cinematographer was born in 1925. The ancestors of Fetin were German noblemen, hence the surname - Fitingof, which later had to be replaced by Feting, and then, just before going to the screens of the legendary "Striped Flight" and completely Russifying, removing the last letter.

Biography of Vladimir Fetin includes years of work as a draftsman in the design bureau. The director also worked for a while at the plant as a master of technological equipment. Fetin entered the Institute of Cinematography in 1955. He began his career with the creation of plots for the program "Wick", but already in the year of graduation VGIK held his directorial debut. It was a screen version of Mikhail Sholokhov's work "Foal".

In 1964, director Vladimir Fetin, whose biography is interesting to many admirers of Soviet cinema, again turned to the work of the Soviet prose writer. This time he took down the "Don story". While working on the film, the director met with actress Lyudmila Chursina, who later became his wife. They had no children. Vladimir Fetin lived his whole life in Leningrad. He passed away in 1981.

"Striped flight"

Where did the creation of one of the best Soviet comedies begin? Top of the "Lenfilm" was instructed to shoot a feature film with the participation of trained tigers M. Nazarova. The circus actress played in the film of Vladimir Fetin barmaid, which suddenly reveals the talent of the tamer. In more detail, the story of "Striped Flight" does not make sense, because it is known to everyone.

The authors of the comedy script are Victor Konetsky and Alexander Kapler. The film was played by Alexei Gribov, Evgeny Leonov, Vladimir Belokurov, Alisa Freindlich. Vasily Lanovoy, who performed the episodic role of a young man who liked the floating "team in striped swimsuits", is not listed in the credits.

"The Don's story"

The film-drama was based on Sholokhov's works "Rodinka", "Shibalkovo Seed". The main role in the picture was performed by Evgeny Leonov. In the "Don's story" also played Lyudmila Chursina, Boris Novikov, Alexei Gribov. This work was highly marked by critics, although it is not the best in the filmography of Vladimir Fetin. Evgeny Leonov for the role of Yakov Shibalka received several prestigious awards.

"Virineya"

Lyudmila Chursina played the main role in the next picture of Fetin. In the film "Virineya", the actress played the role of a simple village woman who tries to find herself in a new life (in the film the events of the Civil War are reflected). The picture is based on the story of the same name by Lydia Seifullina. The plot of the film can cause contradictory feelings among today's viewers, which can not be said about the cast. Fetin in this work involved the most talented artists of the Soviet era: Anatoly Panov, Vyacheslav Nevinny, Alexei Gribov.

"Sweet woman"

The main heroine of the director's wife performed in the films that appeared on the screen in the early seventies, namely: "Love Yarovaya", "The Open Book". And three years after the premiere of the screen version of the same name Kaverina ("Open Book"), Soviet viewers watched the new work of Vladimir Fetin. It was a melodrama, based on the book by Irina Velembovskaya "Sweet Woman". Initially, Fetin adopted the main role for Chursin, and the director shot this picture solely for her sake. But for unknown reasons, the actress refused.

The main character in the film "Sweet Woman" was played by Natalia Gundareva. Then the beginning actress managed to create on the screen the image of a stupid, empty and self-serving woman. For Gundareva, this role was the first serious work in the cinema, although initially she refused even a screen test in Fetin's film. The main male role in the picture was performed by Oleg Yankovsky. The film was also played by Pyotr Veliyaminov, Rimma Markova, Fedor Nikitin.
