Diet after removal of the gallbladder - it's just a kind of healthy food

The most common cause of cholecystectomy (surgery to remove the gallbladder) is, of course, manifestations of cholelithiasis. In second place is an inflammatory process, especially in the form of calculous cholecystitis, when there is a real threat of rupture of the gallbladder and various pathologies of development in the form of kinks. After such an operation, a person is quite capable of leading a full active lifestyle, but on one condition - the diet should be carefully followed after removal of the gallbladder. The fact is that this body has certain functions in the body, and when it is removed they must be compensated. This is the purpose of the diet for the removal of the gallbladder.

First of all, in the norm in the gallbladder accumulates and concentrates bile, which is released when entering the lumen of the duodenum food (chyme) for digestion. If the gallbladder is absent, then bile does not accumulate, but freely flows into the gut. Therefore, the diet after removal includes a mandatory fractional, 6 meals a small portion of food, so that it, evenly entering the body, is also evenly digested by constantly evolving bile. Compliance with this rule will avoid all possible complications in the future.

The menu itself after removal of the gallbladder should also be fundamentally revised. It should be excluded fatty, fried, spicy foods, spices and marinades, smoked products, as well as cold drinks, ice cream and dry food. All this, in addition to disruption of digestion and diarrhea (diarrhea) can lead to spasm of the bile ducts and cause sharp and extremely unpleasant painful sensations.

There is a special diet after removal of the gallbladder and in medicine it is known under the name of table number 5. It is very diverse, so there should not be any special tragedy in the case of forced gastronomic restrictions. It includes soups based on broth from low-fat meat (beef, veal) or poultry (chicken, but not broilers) or simply purely vegetarian soups with the addition of cereals. From the second dishes you can eat meat dishes cooked on steamed, stewed or baked - rolls, soufflé, steam cutlets, meatballs, cereals and casseroles. It is very useful in terms of filling the necessary need for easily digestible protein and trace elements fish of low-fat varieties, preferably sea. You can eat it in any form, except fried. Side dishes from boiled vegetables and cereals (preferably coarse grinding) not only pleasantly diversify the menu after removal of the gallbladder, but also contribute to reducing increased body weight, if there is such a problem.

At its core, the diet after removal of the gallbladder is not just some sort of dietary restriction, but a full-fledged healthy diet, which, incidentally, would be nice to observe and to many people who did not have such an operation. Therefore, recipes after removal of the gallbladder include not just some special dishes of special preparation, but in general all dishes prepared for steaming, boiled and baked, as well as the maximum amount of salads from fresh greens and vegetables.

As for the timing, during which the diet should be followed after removal of the gallbladder, then there are certain rules developed by nutritionists. The first 2-3 months after surgery require a more strict diet based on cleaned dishes and cereals, then gradually the diet is expanded by the introduction of new products, mainly the steam cooking method. In the future, any indulgences in the menu after removal of the gallbladder are agreed with the attending physician-dietician.
