Detector IPR-3SU fireman manual: application in APS

Automatic fire alarm installations have firmly entered our life, informing about the fire that has started. But often people detect fire before fire detectors. In this case, to manually start the alarm, special buttons are used - manual fire detectors.

Design of the detector

Detector IPR-3SU - fire manual annunciator for activation of an automatic fire alarm receiver with radial stubs. The sensor is provided for connection to the PPKOP having two-wire radial loops. When changing its status, the device changes the resistance of the signal loop. The power supply of the detector is carried out from the receiving and monitoring device via a signal loop. To bring the device into an alarm state, it is necessary to move the drive element to the on position. After that, the button is fixed in the alarm state. To return the detector to the armed mode, press the button again. The device button is protected by a transparent cover, which protects it from accidental pressing.

Structurally, the detector consists of a base and two covers - internal and external. To indicate the status, it is equipped with red and green LED indicators, indicating a flashing standby or alarming modes of operation. The color of the sensor housing is red.

Technical specifications

A universal solution for analogue AUPS is a manual fire detector IPR-3SU. The sensor characteristics are given below:

  • Contacts are normally closed or open.
  • Optical indication of operation / alarm.
  • The power supply voltage is 9-28 V.
  • The standby current is 0.1 mA.
  • The alarm current is 25 mA.
  • Actuation force 12-18 N.
  • The maximum dimensions are 90x105x50 mm.
  • Weight - 110 g.
  • Housing version IP41.
  • The operating temperature is -40 .. + 50 deg.
  • Relative air humidity is 93%.
  • The average lifetime is 10 years.
  • MTBF: 60000 hours.

Detector Installation

Installation of fire protection devices is regulated by SP5.13130.2009. In accordance with this set of rules, the IPR-3SU fire detector must be installed at a height of 1.5 m from the floor level. Installation locations - exits from premises, from floors, evacuation routes - at least every 50 meters. The sensor should be installed on the base of a non-flammable material, at a distance of at least a meter from the heaters and electrical equipment. Fastening of the base of the device to the bearing surface is performed by screws, the template for the surface marking is shown in the passport for the manual fire detector IPR-3SU.

Instrument connection

The IPR-3SU fire detector is manually connected to two-wire radial loops as normally closed or normally open sensors. To select one of the connection options in the sensor, jumpers are provided:

  • Simulation of the smoke detector with normally closed contacts and the possibility of acknowledgment.
  • Smoke detector mode.
  • Simulation of the fire detector with NZ-contact for security and fire alarm.
  • Loop closure for alarm systems.

On the sensor board there are two pads with screw terminals for connecting the wires of the signal loop and an additional current-limiting resistor. Resistor resistance is determined depending on the switching circuit and the receiving and monitoring device. Detector IPR-3SU fireman manual must be connected to the signal loop, which retains its performance in a fire. For the laying of such cables, a fire-resistant cable line based on a cable in the FR version and metallic cable-carrying elements is used.
