Why change?

Room violet requires an annual seating. The procedure is needed not only to ensure that this beauty continues to blossom blossom, but also in order to hide the ugly bare stem of the plant, as well as for growing new young shoots.

Reproduction of violets by leaf

This is the most common method. Want to learn how to plant a violet leaf? First of all, remember that you need to do this in the spring or summer. Now look at your adult plant well. For reproduction, you will need a medium-sized stalk, not damaged by disease or bacteria. From an adult plant it is better to take it from the second bottom of the row. If the friends gave you the drill, and when it was transported a little podvyal, lower it entirely into warm boiled water (25 degrees) and add a little manganese to make the solution become pale pink. Leave the sheet for two hours. Then remove it, dry it, and make a neat cut at a distance of no more than four centimeters from the leaf plate.

Rooting the sheet

If you do not know how to plant a violet at home, and do it for the first time, listen to our advice. Put the stalk in a small container (preferably from a dark glass) with standing water and cover it with a packet. Add a tablet of activated carbon to the water. This will not allow developing harmful microflora. Water should not be changed, you just need to add it as needed. When your cuttings have their first roots, the length of which will be about 2 cm, it can be planted in an earthen mixture. Do not forget about the need for drainage.

So, you learned how to plant a violet, rooting the stalk in the water. What other methods exist?

Rooting in the Substrate

This method guarantees practically 100% germination of the cuttings. How to plant a violet room, rooting it in a substrate, and why this method gives such high results, we now will understand. At once we will make a reservation: this variant is especially good if you took a weak planting material or borrowed the stem from a very young rosette. In addition, it is ideal for reproduction of miniature species. In addition, the method makes it possible to significantly save the germination time, the stalk gives roots much more quickly.

Use small plastic pots (no more than five centimeters in diameter). For this purpose, plastic 100-gram cups are suitable. At the bottom, pour in drainage or small pieces of foam, on top - earth mixture (we recommend using ready-made formulations). In the center you plant a cutting.

We are spending "kids"

From beginners florists can often hear the question of how to plant a violet after the appearance of "children." In fact, it's not difficult to do this. When at the base of the cuttings of your plant shoots appear that reach 4-5 cm, they should be placed in separate pots. The earth should be slightly moistened. Take out the stalk from the ground and very carefully separate the "children", so that each of them gets a part of the roots. If they have not all reached the right size, then take only the largest ones. The stalk is planted again to get a second wave of "children". Scions with good healthy roots can immediately be planted in an earthen mixture. It is better not to remove the earth from them, so they will easily take root.

Conversion of outlets

Now we will discuss how to plant a violet with young rosettes. When they reach a size of about two pot diameters, they need to be transplanted in containers more spacious (with a circumference of about seven centimeters in diameter). It is enough to do the transshipment - in other words, to move the flower, without shaking the earthen lump, and add the necessary amount of the mixture to the bottom of a more spacious vessel. If the plant is not very stable - put a layer of sphagnum on top, which must be changed as it becomes contaminated with salts. If after that the bush does not become more stable, use the usual toothpicks. Stick them between the flower leaves closer to the center of the rosette. "Baby" (juvenile) leaves are removed after the appearance of the present.

Reconstitution of violets

How to plant a violet, when you just need to re-root it? Simple enough. Tear off the yellowed sick leaves. If there are too many, delete the entire bottom row. Damage on the site of the removed leaves pour powder from activated carbon (you can use foundation). Then, with a sharp knife, cut the outlet below the last row by 1 cm and clean it from the cork layer. After that, it will safely take root in the earth.

You can do this in many ways. You already know how to plant a violet, rooting the stalk in an earthen mixture. The principle remains the same - a groove is made in the moistened earth, perlite (1: 3) is added, the rosette is planted. Rooting will last about a month. Do not panic if the lower leaves are a little softened. Do not get the plant out of the ground. When he starts to appear the first roots, the leaves will be restored. Water the earth mixture only as it dries. Too moist soil is harmful to a young plant.

Cut off rosettes can be rooted in the water, as well as cuttings. Watch the liquid level and add it if necessary.

Today you learned how to arrange a violet room in many ways. We hope that this will allow you to enjoy the look of healthy and beautiful flowers.
