Degassing is ... How degassing of water is done. Methods of degassing

Degassing is the process of removing harmful gases and toxic substances from somewhere (usually from air or liquids). Can be produced both chemically and mechanically. In the first case, usually, solutions of various kinds of degassing substances are used. In this way, the quality of drinking water, industrial oil, etc. can be improved. This method often carries out the processing of premises after accidents at industrial enterprises and cleans air in the mines.

What is degassed for drinking water

Removing from the water all sorts of harmful gases can not only make it harmless to health, but also curative: for example, with frequent angina it is necessary from time to time just rinse with her throat. At the same time you can heal the gums and clean your teeth. It is believed that degassed water is useful for those who want to lose weight. It is also used for watering plants, and yields are higher.

The method of Alexey Labasa

Degassing of water in our time is most often done according to the method of Alexei Labasa, invented by him in 1989. The process consists of the following stages:

  1. The water is heated until air bubbles begin to emit (84-86 ° C), and do not bring it to the boil.
  2. Next, the pan is removed from the fire and sharply quenches the liquid under a flowing stream of cold water. In this case, the latter is not allowed to enter the vessel.

As a result of all these manipulations, water of a particular crystal structure is obtained. In its useful properties, it somehow resembles a natural thaw.
Several ways to improve its qualities have been developed.

Methods for improving the characteristics of degassed water

So, degassing is a process, as a result of which a certain amount of gases are removed from water, and it acquires special properties. Improve the healing qualities of such water in several ways:

  1. Special properties of silver are used. Any object from this metal is placed in a container for a long time with water already prepared in accordance with the foregoing method. Of course, for everyday use it is not good. Drink "silver" water courses for 7 days with a break of 2-3 weeks.
  2. Degassing of water can also be carried out with pre-freezing. As a result, a healing fluid is used to treat digestive disorders. At the same time take tap water and defend it for 3 days. Then it is filtered and placed in the refrigerator for freezing. After the water has completely turned into ice, it is taken out, heated and sharply cooled.

Degassing liquids by ultrasound

Since degassing is primarily the removal of harmful volatile substances from the liquid, this procedure can also be performed by ultrasonic action. This method is very often used due to its cheapness and speed. The essence of it is as follows.

In any liquid, there are always small germinal gas bubbles. Under the influence of ultrasound, they begin to vibrate. In this case, the bubbles increase in size, since they absorb all the gas dissolved in the water. This process causes them to rise to the surface and dissolve in the surrounding air. At the moment, there are the following methods of degassing by ultrasound:

  1. The most effective cavitation. This method uses large-size converters that consume a lot of electricity (up to 10 kW).
  2. The precreditation method is carried out using simpler equipment (uncooled converters), consuming a minimum of electricity (about 0.1 kW).

Degassing of oils

First, foaming of the oil is achieved (under vacuum). At the end of this procedure, a certain amount of air remains in place. For its removal degassing is continued. Oil degassing is used to remove air from it and prevent rapid oxidation. This operation is considered quite important. A similar method is used, for example, to improve the performance of the transformer oil. In this case, the content of air bubbles leads to a decrease in the electrical strength of insulation installations, because they generate electrical discharges. For the treatment of oils, usually, a vacuum degassing unit is used. The process in this case consists of two stages:

  1. In the second stage, the oil is spread by a thin layer for additional diffusion under the influence of a vacuum.
  2. In the third stage, heating of the insulation means is carried out and a higher vacuum pressure is used.

Degassing of mines

Degassing of mines is a special process for the extraction of mine gas and air-gas mixture to the surface by collecting and sucking. In this case, a system of pipelines and drilling wells is used. This reduces the flow of methane from the coal seams into the mines. In addition to the pipes, the degassing systems of the mines consist of regulating, protective and recording equipment, degassing units, control devices and drives.

Improvement of methods for removing harmful volatile substances allowed the creation of new methods and methods for the development of coal seams. There was a possibility of passing methane extraction. Currently used in three ways of degassing the mines:

  1. Removal of methane from reservoirs in development. Parallel wells are drilled and connected to a network of gas pipes laid in mines.
  2. Degassing of adjacent layers with their preliminary unloading from rock pressure. At the same time part of the methane passes into a free state.
  3. Cleaning of the cavities. Such spaces are pre-fenced with airtight plates and bridges. Further, with the help of gas pipelines, a conclusion is made to the surface of methane-rich air.

Degassing is an extremely important process, whether it is the preparation of medicinal water, the improvement of the properties of the oil or the removal of harmful substances from the mines. In the latter case, depending on how carefully the operation is performed, the mine's productivity depends, and sometimes the life and health of the workers.
