The newest aircraft in Russia, military and civilian

The Russian Federation, like other countries that emerged in the post-Soviet space, experienced severe times in the early and mid-nineties of the last century. Industry, devoid of customary sales markets, skidding. Many manufactures stopped, including the most advanced ones.

The aviation industry has always been the pride of our country. It was not spared allocations, and its products (both civilian and military) were plowing the skies of all continents. In the conditions of the almost complete collapse of the cooperative ties, it can be considered a miracle that the aircraft building school was not lost.

Not all industrialized countries can afford to manufacture aircraft. For example, Germany, which produces many models of equipment that are considered to be the best in the world, does not build airplanes on its own, although only recently (by historical standards), during the Second World War, Messerschmitts and Henkeli were completely on Level. The school is lost ...

Nevertheless, despite the high performance characteristics of Soviet aircraft, its potential is gradually decreasing, it is becoming obsolete. The newest aircraft in Russia will soon be replaced. First of all, this concerns military vehicles, whose fleet will be half-updated in the next two to three years.

Local conflicts at their force resolution require special tools. One of them is the front-line aviation, designed to support ground forces and inflict super-accurate strikes against communication hubs, headquarters, infrastructure and transport lines of the probable enemy. The new Su-34 and MiG-31 military aircraft in Russia, which are essentially airborne strike complexes, and the modernized Su-24M attack aircraft capable of operating around the clock, are in a position to solve combat missions in view of threats from enemy fighter aircraft.

The newest aircraft of Russia of the fifth generation differ from their predecessors, in addition to improved maneuvering and dynamic characteristics, less noticeable for warning systems. It is difficult to detect, and therefore, to knock them down. This quality is achieved by using in many respects unique technologies of electronic suppression of radars. Also, special coatings are used to reduce the reflectivity of surfaces.

The long-range aviation did not remain without attention. Traditionally considered to be long-distance airliners, strategic bombers (for example, the American B-52 was developed in the 50s of the XX century, the grandsons of its first pilots fly on it), our country also uses a long term. The newest aircraft of Russia of this class represent a product of profound modernization of the well-proven base models Tu-160, Tu-22MZ and Tu-95MS. They are able to carry in addition to the bomb load and ultra-precision missile armament with special charges.

New Russian civil aircraft, unlike most of the models of the Soviet aircraft industry, are developed from the very beginning as passenger liners, taking into account all requirements for comfort and economy. Sukhoi Company, traditionally specialized in the creation of military vehicles, has developed Sukhoi Superjet-100 for medium-range airlines. Other well-known companies, such as Ilyushin Design Bureau, Tupolev OJSC, Sokol and Aviakor plants are also working in this direction.

There is reason to hope that the newest aircraft in Russia will soon form quite worthy competition to Boeing and Airbus both on the domestic and international aircraft market.
