Concor preparation
Concor preparation includes active substance - bisoprolol hemifumarate. Auxiliary components - magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, crospovidone, anhydrous calcium hydrogenphosphate, microcrystalline cellulose. The medication is available in the form of tablets containing 5 and 10 mg of the active substance, coated with a film membrane.
The drug is included in the group of selective beta-blockers.
Concor preparation is prescribed for arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease, and heart failure (chronic).
Contraindications to taking medication are cardiogenic shock, a state of decompensation in heart failure, and the second and third degree of atrioventricular blockade. The drug Concor is not prescribed also in the syndrome of weakness of the sinus node, expressed by the sinoatrial blockade of symptomatic bradycardia and symptomatic arterial hypotension. The drug is contraindicated in bronchial asthma, the presence of violations in the peripheral circulation, untreated pheochromocytoma, metabolic acidosis. Concor with pregnancy and lactation is also not prescribed.
It is recommended to take 5 mg of the drug per day.
Tablets from the pressure of Concor (with the second degree of hypertension) can be prescribed in a dose of 2.5 mg. If necessary, it is permissible to increase the daily dosage to ten mg. Increase is permissible only on the recommendation of a doctor.
When appointing persons with renal and hepatic impairment, the daily dosage of the drug should not be more than ten milligrams. In this case, it should be selected individually.
Concor preparation is taken in the morning, regardless of food. Do not chew the medicine. It is necessary to drink with a small amount of liquid.
As a rule, the therapeutic course is quite long, which is determined by the course and nature of the disease.
It is not recommended to abruptly cancel the medication. The course of therapy should be completed, gradually reducing the dosage.
As side effects, headaches and dizziness can be frequent. Such manifestations are characteristic for the initial treatment period. As a rule, they are expressed slightly and pass for two weeks.
In rare cases, the use of medication provokes depression and sleep disorders, paresthesia, hallucinations, increased tear, conjunctivitis, hearing impairment.
A frequent side effect is bradycardia (in those suffering from a lack of cardiac function), a sense of real estate and coldness in the limbs. In some cases, there may be a violation in atrioventricular conduction (with hypertension and ischemic heart disease), as well as orthostatic hypotension.
In the presence of obstructive airways diseases in chronic form and bronchial asthma, bronchospasm are possible.
In rare cases, allergic rhinitis may occur.
On the part of the gastrointestinal tract, frequent side effects are constipation, vomiting, diarrhea, and vomiting.
In rare cases, taking the drug causes seizures, weakness in the muscles, skin rash, itching, excessive sweating, hair loss, a violation of potency.
With care, the medication is prescribed for people with diabetes, with desensitization, a strict diet.
Before the beginning of the therapy, it is necessary to perform the function of external respiration for those suffering from bronchial asthma.
Admission of beta-blockers is not recommended in the period of surgical interventions. This is due to an increased risk of myocardial ischemia and arrhythmias. If it is necessary to carry out the operation, the dosage of the drug should be gradually reduced approximately forty-eight hours before the general anesthesia.
