There are many kinds of coffee, and one of them is coffee latte. What is it and how to cook this unusually tasty drink? Let's try to understand all this in order.

So, in the classical sense, latte is a coffee-based drink, where espresso and milk are mixed in a one to three ratio. There is always a small amount of foam on top of the latte. Quite often the finished drink is sprinkled on top of cocoa or grated chocolate, and inside add syrup (caramel, berry, vanilla or other).

How did the latte come about? What is it, we already know, but even more interesting to know the history of the origin of this drink. Initially it was invented especially for children. Surely, you have repeatedly noticed how often babies tend to drink coffee on a par with adults. Due to the fact that the main part of latte is milk, this drink is considered harmless for children.

Speaking about coffee latte, what it is, and discussing some other nuances, it should be noted that the properly prepared beverage should be layered, that is, coffee, milk and foam should not mix with each other. And it should be served in a transparent glass on a leg.

How to make a coffee latte? In fact, this process requires some knowledge and skills. To prepare one serving, you will be enough to 80-100 g of fresh milk, as well as about 7-8 g of freshly ground coffee. Let's start with espresso. To do this we will need a carob coffee maker. Coffee fall asleep in a special compartment and set up the apparatus in such a way that the water very slowly passes through the powder. In 20-30 seconds you will get about 30 ml of ready-made drink. If the espresso is cooked correctly, the foam will have a rusty hue, veins will be present on its surface. Too light foam indicates that the coffee was small or the grind is too large, and too dark, on the contrary, speaks of the excessively fine grinding of coffee or its excess. The drink will be more delicious, if you warm up the coffee maker before cooking it.

If there is no possibility to make a coffee latte in a coffee machine, you will have to spend a little time and effort to prepare the milk. It should not be boiled, but it is necessary to warm it well. Further, with the help of a coffee machine or special appliances, the milk must be beaten to the state of persistent foam. We put this foam into a pre-prepared glass.

The last stage is, actually, an infusion of coffee into the foam. A trickle of espresso should flow down the very edge of the glass. As a result, milk froth is over coffee. If you managed to achieve this, then you did it right.

Speaking about coffee latte, what it is, and about the tricks of making this Italian drink, you should additionally say about the additional ingredients that you can use. Latte fits well with almost any syrup, except citrus (they contribute to the rapid souring of milk). And especially the use of a syrup of black currant or walnut is recommended. Unforgettable taste can be obtained by using alcoholic beverages, for example rum or amaretto.
