Five years ago in Russia a very unusual museum appeared, one might even say - exceptional. He shakes his imagination with his exhibits. This is a scientific and technical museum of tractor history in Cheboksary. At the end of October 2016, he notes his small, but still significant for the Republic of Chuvashia and the country as a whole a historic anniversary.

The tractor museum was opened by Cheboksary not accidentally. This is not just the city of Chuvashia, part of the Volga region, on the geographical map of Russia. It is called the pearl and cultural capital (since 2003) of the Volga region. It is a city with centuries of history, rich culture and traditions. It is recognized as one of the most well-managed (2001, 2013), clean and green (2006, 2007) subjects of Russia. And where are the tractor enterprises? The thing is this: the concern "Tractor Plants" took a direct part in 2011 in the creation of the republican landmarks in the capital of Chuvashia. The president of the concern, Mikhail Bolotin, proposed to open a museum of a tractor in this city (Cheboksary). The proposal responded and was supported by: the Russian Union of Machine Builders, the Russian Culture Foundation and the state corporation Rostekhnologii. This museum in Russia has become exceptional in its kind, this is nowhere else: it is both specialized (specialization is tractor-building), and enlightening, and scientific-educational (it is available and authentically explains the information and acquaints with the history of anyone who wishes).

Modern museum for visitors

Approximately 1,5 thousand square meters of museums are located on Mira Avenue, 1. The history museum of the tractor acquaints visitors with the history of development of not only domestic, but also foreign tractor construction. The museum has several logically arranged in historical order zones:

1. The first zone is justified by the development of agriculture and agriculture of ancient times, the appearance of the first modes of transport - LEOMOBLYA (in the XV century) and wheelchair-scooter (in the XVIII century) on three wheels. 2. In the second zone, visitors move further in time. Here the narrative will go about the first steam engine (France, the 18th century), the first such steam tractor (Russia, the 19th century), the diesel engine (Germany-France, the end of the 19th century), the first ship, locomotive and diesel truck Germany-France, the beginning of the 20th century), a tractor with an internal combustion engine (Russia, 1911).
3. In the third zone, we will talk about how tractor-building developed in Russia and abroad. It is mainly about enterprises.
4. The fourth zone will dilute informative historicity with its interactivity. Separately, it should be noted that the creators of transport look far ahead: they will touch on the topic of Mars rover tractors and will clearly demonstrate their capabilities.
7. Separately, you can see the real legends of tractor construction! Agricultural machines represent the MTZ range, tractors SCHTZ, LTZ, VTZ, ATZ, KhTZ, station wagons, etc. (in these abbreviations TK is a transport plant, and the first letter, as a rule, indicates the name of the city). Among the legendary industrial vehicles are different brands of tractors ChTZ and ChTPZ. The latter, by the way, is the Cheboksary plant of industrial tractors.

The tractor history museum is accessible to the public. The cost of visiting is not high. If you decide to come and get acquainted with the history of the tractor conversion, to look and sit inside the exhibits (without the guide's accompaniment), this will cost inexpensively: to students - 50, to children - 40, to adults - 100 rubles. The visit time is not limited. If you want, you can order an excursion to not only see, but also listen to information, ask questions. The ticket price will be slightly higher. If the group is less than 15 people, the price will be 250 rubles. For groups over 15 people - from each visitor only 25 rubles. Without payment, children of pre-school age, museum staff, Heroes of the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation, WWII members and full cavaliers of the Order of Glory will be able to join history and culture.
