Causes and stages of CRF

Chronic kidney failure is a violation of the kidneys for at least 3 months. The main cause of this disease is the death of nephrons and the accumulation of toxins, such as urea, creatinine and uric acid. First let's examine the causes of the onset, and then the stage of CRF.

1. Chronic glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis.

2. Renal damage caused by diabetes, arterial hypertension, hepatitis B and C, gout or malaria.

3. Reaction to drugs and toxic substances.

4. Problems with the bladder.

Now let's look at the stages of CRF.

There are several classifications of this disease, we also consider only one of them, according to Lopatkin.

Distinguish the following stages of chronic renal failure by creatinine (more precisely, by its content in the blood):

  1. Stage 1 is called latent. Creatinine is not much higher than normal: 1.6 mg / dL at a rate of 1.2. CRF (stage 1) occurs without symptoms. This reduces the synthesis of ammonia, osmolarity of urine. As for the rhinogram, it changes insignificantly. Most often, the disease is detected accidentally during the examination.
  2. 2-A stage is called polyuric or compensated. Creatinine is already 2.7 mg / dl. Compensation is due to the liver and other organs. At this stage, the symptoms already appear: weakness, especially in the morning, thirst and a slight decrease in body temperature. The transcript is flat. Glomerular filtration and osmolarity were significantly reduced. The following stages of CRF are more complicated and pronounced.
  3. 2-B stage is called intermittent. Blood creatinine has already been significantly increased - 4.5 mg / dL. The amount of urine increases, and its pH is alkaline. As for urea, it is doubled. The amount of calcium and potassium decreases. Signs of this stage are the following: weakness, reflex reflexes, muscle twitches and cramps, dry skin, severe anemia and hypertension. Also, a person who has a 2-B stage of CRF, nauseous, sometimes even tears, he suffers from anorexia, constipation, hiccough and bloating.
  4. Stage 3 is called terminal. It is characterized by a violation of sleep, mental state, skin begins to itch, pronounced convulsions. Significantly increased creatinine, urea and residual nitrogen.

We listed the stages of chronic renal failure by Lopatkin. As you can see, with each stage the condition deteriorates significantly, so it is necessary to consult a doctor at the first symptoms. Now consider what you need to do at each stage of CRF:

  1. The first stage. Treatment is as follows: relieve the aggravation of inflammatory processes in the kidneys. This reduces renal failure.
  2. The second stage. In addition to the treatment described above, the rate of progression of renal failure is assessed. The patient is prescribed medicines that are mostly plant-based in order to reduce her rates.
  3. The third stage. The same treatment is used as in the second stage, and also corrects arterial hypertension, anemia and other complications. If the patient is seriously disturbed, a kidney transplant is done .

All stages of CRF imply the presence of restrictions in food. In general, the patient is prescribed a low-protein diet with a small amount of proteins of animal origin, phosphorus and sodium. Try to keep track of your health, because if you find your CRN in time, you will be able to recover and feel excellent in a short time.
