Bottom tackle

Bottom tackle is the oldest and most popular kind of fishing equipment. It consists of a sturdy, approximately two-meter rod, inertia-free spool, braids instead of scaffolds, at the end of which a load is fixed. Then, several leashes with large hooks were attached. The trick of the bottom fishing rod is a bell, mounted on the tip of the rod after casting.

Bottom tackle is used where it is impossible to catch with a float fishing rod. Usually these are the cases when a very fast current carries away the bait and the float, as well as when the fish are far from the shore.

At the heart of its bottom tackle has a classic sinker, whose weight is calculated based on the casting distance, the depth of the reservoir and, of course, the predilections of the fisherman.

Most often used sinkers, cast from lead, in a cylindrical or conical shape. This preference is due to two qualities: reliable fixation of the bait at the bottom and calm pulling of tackle, without clasps for stones, grass, etc.

In those reservoirs where the bottom is solid, a bottom tackle with a sliding sinker is used, and in cluttered or muddy water bodies - with a deaf, ring, which is fixed to a certain leash.

Bottom tackle is thrown with a short rod or rod, usually in deep enough places and a considerable distance. It is used for catching directly from the bottom of the reservoir or close to it.

The rod must have an elastic top, which can not lead and sustain a vigorous sweeping.

Usually anglers set the length of the line within forty meters, but this value varies depending on the size of the expected production and the conditions of fishing.

Bells or sound alarms, which are equipped with a donkey, are used, usually, with a weak current and a gentle wind.

According to experienced anglers, do not install more than three hooks on this tackle: with a large number it becomes difficult and unsafe to throw. Leashes with hooks on the main line are fixed at a distance that is not much greater than the total length of the adjacent adjacent leashes. And that the line is easily wound on a reel or unwound, next to the leashes make the rings of bicycle rubber, under which the leash with a hook is pushed. The ring is compressed so that the hook for it would be convenient to cling.

Not bad recommended and removable leashes, which are practical and easily replaced.

Bottom tackle on crucian carp should be prepared with special care. The stitch of this fish during the summer months is so soft and cautious that the signal for biting due to the length of the main line can go unnoticed by the fisherman. An inexperienced piercer can not make out that the bait is eaten. To avoid such cases, the leash should not be longer than 70 millimeters, and the hooks should be selected on the basis of the nozzle.

The usual donkey for a crucian carp is a spinning rod, a wire coil with a drum of more than 12 centimeters, a solid main line, a leash and a hundred pound sinker.

Bottom tackle on the carp depends on the place of fishing and the size of the prey: a huge carp also assumes a strong snap. This is a strong spinning, having an 80-gram test, up to 2.7 meters long, a inertia -free coil, one or two twenty-centimeter leashes, and also large self-closing hooks. Many avid carp lovers believe that it is better to use an open feeder rather than a sinker for tackle.

Fishing, including predatory fish, on the bottom tackle is an old enough method, however it is still popular and relevant. In many countries it is a favorite kind of fishing. This is explained by quite cheap equipment and economy, because a float rod or spinning fly fishing is much more expensive.
