Boilers for liquid fuels. Combined boilers. Fuel for boilers

In houses, it is rarely possible to see a boiler that does not work on natural gas or on solid fuel. Basically, it is gas or coal appliances that are most often installed for space heating. Boilers on liquid fuel, despite the fact that these are modern units with very good quality characteristics and with high efficiency, we do not use the big demand for some reason. What can not be said about our neighbors living in Western Europe. They know how to appreciate and save natural resources. And it is for this reason that such heating boilers with liquid fuel are much more frequent in them. Let's try to understand in detail in principle the design of such heating units and consider their quality characteristics and types of liquid fuel.

Boilers for liquid fuels used in everyday life (we can not consider industrial boilers ) can function smoothly and efficiently operate on different liquid fuels. The expensive, but the most common and high-quality fuel is diesel fuel.

This type of fuel, unfortunately, can not boast of low cost compared to, say, gas or electricity. But the products of processing fuel oil or oil fuel for furnaces are already an order of magnitude lower than diesel fuel. True, the heating factor is also lower for them, about 15% -20%. Solar oil does not require a particularly thorough filtration process, but fuel oils must still be carefully run through cleaning filters.

Types of fuel

Fuel for boilers can be biological. If you mix diesel or petroleum oil with combustible plant raw materials, you can get a wonderful view of the fuel - biofuel. Vegetable raw materials are similar in characteristics to those of petroleum fuels, but are slightly cheaper.

This type of heating fuel can be found in organizations or private homes located in close proximity to the SRT or near auto enterprises. And also to the areas where the machinery for agriculture is located. In such places, waste oil at least "a spoon eat." And therefore, economical owners use old motor lubricant and effectively use it to heat their premises.

Let's consider the operating principle of the device responsible for the exchange processes of heat in liquid fuel heating boilers. Combustion of liquid raw materials and heating of the coolant in the heating equipment takes place in a device called a heat exchanger. The principle of operation of the heat exchanger is designed in such a way that it can efficiently absorb a large volume of thermal energy during operation.

Today, you can find such boilers as condensing liquid fuel units with one more zone for additional exchange of heat energy, which allows to process heat from exhaust gases, turning evaporation, destructive for nature, into an additional source of heat.

By type of material heat exchangers are made of cast iron or steel. Cast iron with careful handling will last more than half a century, but too heavy. But steel weighs less, but their characteristics and service life are also worse than those of cast-iron heat exchangers.

Principle of operation of the burner

Burners in such boilers are equipped with additional pumps and fans, built-in type. The pump pumps fuel from the tank and sprays it under pressure in the heat exchanger chamber. The fan is responsible for supplying the air flow in the amount required for the correct and efficient operation of the apparatus on liquid fuel. Also, the ventilator is responsible for removing the smoke.

Burners in aggregates working on liquid types of raw materials are very complex and quite expensive devices. And they are extremely demanding on the quality of the fuel supplied. Sufficiently simple and not very expensive bundles of burners can work only at maximum power, but already more advanced models have up to three power modes. This leads to an increase in the life of the device responsible for burning, and to fuel economy.

Burners in most cases are able to work only on lighter types of liquid fuel. They include diesel fuel, motor oil, and biological fuels. But the manufacturers went much further, and more modern devices are already able to process thick and less efficient types of liquid fuel. For this, the fuel raw material must be slightly heated before feeding to the combustion device.

Automation of control in boilers operating on liquid fuel

Automated for the coordinated work of the burner and the heating system. This allows you to spend fuel efficiently and economically, and also to cope well with heating functions. And at the same time, in fact, it is not inferior to common types of boilers operating on gas or solid fuels.
Many thermal units can operate autonomously in heating systems, which are called "smart house", only with the availability of high-quality liquid fuel raw materials. The switching on and off of automation in such boilers is carried out remotely.

Boilers for liquid fuels and their varieties

There are two types of such units. Single-circuit and two-circuit.
Heating equipment with one circuit performs the function of heating only the heating system. And two-circuit models of boilers heat both fuel and running water passing through the heat exchanger. But experts often do not advise choosing units that have more than one circuit. They advise to install separately a boiler and a storage water heater. A little more expensive will be the installation of separate equipment, but this itself, undoubtedly, will justify with further exploitation.

Universal

Heating units can also be combined. They have the name "universal combined boilers".

Such boilers are able to work on all existing types of fuel raw materials. And the transition from one species to another can be made immediately, as soon as the raw materials used are finished.

Classification of heating universal units

By the type of raw materials used, the combined boilers come in four modifications.

  • They can combine, for example, gas and liquid raw materials.
  • You can use three types: liquid, solid and gaseous fuels.
  • Well-proven models of heating equipment, allowing you to work on natural gas, electricity and various types of liquid raw materials.
  • Well, the most unique units operate on all four types of substances capable of producing heat.

Boilers for liquid fuels: prices (on which they depend)

As you know, the price is determined by quality. As we have already mentioned, models of heating units with cast-iron heat exchangers will serve longer and cost more than boilers made of steel.

When choosing the unit, pay attention to the cost indicated on the boiler. The price for them will depend directly on the customer's requests. It should be noted that the cost of the brand will depend on the efficiency of the device and the amount of fuel it requires.

Conclusion

The quality of the heaters was enough. It remains to sum up.

In areas where natural gas does not pass, an indispensable option is a heating device operating on liquid fuel raw materials.

Such boilers, whose price from 15 to 30 thousand rubles on average, will justify heating the house, where the heating principle is chosen electric or solid fuel. Permission to install and use such units on liquid fuels will not be required. And the fuel consumption will only depend on the heating area, the efficiency of the heating device and the brand chosen by the consumer.

So, we found out what price is on the boilers and what they are.
