Biography of Elena Blaginin. Page by page

The name is widely known - Elena Blaginina, her biography is an example for single-minded people. Her books have grown more than one generation. It is unlikely that there will be at least one children's library - home, school, municipal - wherever her books are available.

Childhood

Biography of Elena Blaginina Is quite ordinary and at the same time full of events. In 1903 a girl was born in the family of a railway cashier in the village of Yakovleva, Orel province . They called the baby Lena. She grew up in a warm family atmosphere, beloved, but not spoiled by her mother, father, grandmother and grandfather. Means for the family were modest, everyday food - soup and porridge. On weekends, baked pies with liver. Sweets were only on holidays.

But the girl's childhood was filled with verses, fairy tales, jokes, jokes. Mother and grandfather read to the child works of Russian poets and writers, grandmother told tales and legends. Father organized a family theater, where artists were everything from the oldest to the youngest.

It's no wonder that already at the age of eight Lena composed her first poem about the family and her happy childhood, then a fairy tale about a snowflake and a play for a home theater was born.

Elena Blaginina's biography is closely connected with her beloved grandfather - a village priest and teacher in the parish school. The girl began teaching literacy here, along with other village kids. She dreamed of becoming a teacher, following in the footsteps of her grandfather.

Lena graduated from a rural school, and the family moved to Kursk. My father again found a job as a railway cashier, and the girl continued her education at a local school. Further studies continued at the Mariinsky Gymnasium.

Lena helped her mother a lot around the house: she washed, cleaned, darned, cooked, and then she learned lessons and read, read, read ...

Student of the Pedagogical Institute

In the country the situation was difficult - war, revolution. The gymnasium was combined with a real school. But the union did not grow together, and all the students were dismissed without exams, but with certificates. The place was closed.

Elena Blaginina's educational biography continued at the Kursk Pedagogical Institute. She purposefully walked to her dream. Neither slush, nor severe frost did not interfere with the girl. Lena in a homemade braided rope shoe every day hurried to the institute, breaking seven kilometers distance.

The girl studied with pleasure, actively participated in public life. At this time, she began to write poetry, and the children's dream of teaching faded into the background.

Elena Blaginina first published in the literary magazine "Beginning" in 1921, followed by the collection "Golden Grain", a well-known literary almanac. Elena worked tirelessly, she was completely captured by her studies and poetic activity. Her idols are Blok, Mendelshtam, Akhmatova, Gumilev. The girl became a member of the Kursk Poets Union.

Moscow Literary and Art Institute

In 1921, Elena Blaginina's biography saw a new turn.

In Moscow, opened literary and art institute named after Bryusov. Elena, fearing that her family would not let her go to the capital, went to the institute secretly, entered and simultaneously got a job in the luggage office of the newspaper "Izvestia". Working, provided its existence during training. At night I sat over books and textbooks. Her guide was a poet, poet Georgy Arkadevich Shengeli. Under his leadership, the mastery of the poet was perfected, the creative biography of Elena Blaginina is closely associated with him. A photo of her beloved teacher is placed above.

At the institute, Blaginina met with her future husband, the poet George Obolduyev, who was rejected and not printed because of the rebellious mood with which his poems were permeated. Elena fervently loved her husband and hoped that someday his work would be appreciated in his native country. Elena's serious lyrical poems were also not printed willingly.

Creative way

Blaginina graduated in 1925 from the Institute in creative and literary and publishing. I did not find work in the specialty and I stayed to work in Izvestia.

Then labor Elena Blaginina's biography continued in the All-Union Radio Committee, at the Institute of Radio Broadcasting. Elena practically stopped writing, was absorbed in ordinary affairs.

But the love of children won. Somehow playing with her friend's child, she composed a funny verse-impromptu, and began ... Elena wrote about everything that is around: about things, about nature, about people, about animals.

In 1933 her children's poems were published in the magazine "Murzilka". She made friends with his editor M.P. Wengrove. Later Elena became the editor of "Murzilka", a few years later - the editor of "Zateynika".

Lively interested in children's poetry of other nations, Elena Blaginina became a talented translator, skilfully transferring Russian verses from Moldovan, Ukrainian, Tatar languages. Taras Shevchenko, Lev Kvitko, Lesya Ukrainka are far from complete list of names whose poems she translated for Russian readers.

Since 1936 the creative biography of Elena Blaginina has been enriched. For children, her collections of works began to be printed one by one. The first of them came out under the name "Autumn", then they followed "Do not stop me from working", "My mother sleeps, she is tired", "Zhuravushka", "Alyonushka", "Travushka-muravushka".

The poet not only wrote actively for children, but also happily met her little readers.

The last collection of "Gori-gori clearly" appeared in 1990, when Elena Aleksandrovna was no more. She died in April 1989.
