The preparation "Analgin" (instruction for use).

Among the analgesic drugs, perhaps, there is no more known and popular drug than Analgin. The instruction to it confirms the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of the medication. It refers to synthetic non-narcotic analgesics.

Metamizole, the active ingredient from which this drug is made, is a white or whitish-yellow crystalline powder. At high humidity, it quickly decomposes. Also, the substance quickly dissolves in water, but very badly in alcohol.

The drug "Analgin", the properties of which are widely known, has not only an anti-inflammatory and analgesic action, but also has good antipyretic properties. Because the drug is highly soluble in water, it is very convenient when you need to quickly achieve a high concentration of the substance in the blood.

The drug "Analgin", the instruction to which recommends using it for various pains (myositis, neuralgia, radiculitis, headache), rheumatism, febrile states (with a sharp increase in temperature), more often, the flu, as a rule, is well tolerated by patients. But with severe pain in the chest region and in the abdominal cavity, this remedy is ineffective.

Very often this medicine is prescribed together with such medications as "Fenacetin", "Caffeine", "Phenobarbital". The preparation "Analgin", the instruction for the use of which allows it to be used simultaneously with other medicines, gives a very strong effect in combination with such a tool as "Amidopirin".

Dosage forms of the drug:

-powder in vials;

- tablets (0.5 g) for adults (package of 20 pcs.);

- Children's tablets (0.05, 0.1, 0.15 g);

- ampoules with a solution (25 and 50%) of 5 ml.

Tablets are taken 2-3 times a day: adults - 0.25-0.5 g, and children - 0.025-0.25 grams.

This drug intramuscularly and intravenously injected with strong pains 2 times a day for 1-2 ml of a 25 or 50-percent solution. Subcutaneous injections are very painful and can cause irritation of subcutaneous tissues.

The preparation "Analgin" in aqueous solution is incompatible with any oxidizing agents, since oxidation occurs on contact with them, as a result of which the solution acquires a brown color and loses its effectiveness.

If the patient takes a long time preparation "Analgin", the instruction to him recommends monitoring the blood condition. In practice, cases of allergic reactions were noted when taking this medication and anaphylactic shock when administered intravenously.

Side effects:

- granulocytopenia (oppression of hematopoiesis);

- agranulocytosis (absence of granulocytes in the blood plasma);

- Lakopenia.

Contraindications: hypersensitivity, bronchospasm (narrowing of bronchial lumens), hemopoiesis, 1 trimester of pregnancy. In later periods of pregnancy and during lactation, the preparation "Analgin" should be taken very carefully. Its use in elevated doses and for a long time can lead to anemia, impaired renal and liver function in the fetus.

Store this medication in a dark, dry place (ampoules - 3 years, tablets - 5 years).

The preparation "Analgin" is the main component of such common analgesics as "Analfen", "Diafein", "Calfagin", "Andipal", "Benalgin", Anapirin "," Baralgin "," Tempalgin "," Benalgin "," Pentalgin, Adofen, Dykafen, Fenalgin, and Bellallin.

Recently, the preparation "Analgin-Khimin", 1 tablet of which contains 200 mg of metamizole sodium and 50 mg of quinine hydrochloride, has become very popular. It perfectly helps with flu, pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, articular and muscular rheumatism, neuritis, febrile syndrome, burns, trauma, menalgia, neuralgia, pleurisy, herpes, toothache, postnatal pain. It is also effective for biliary, renal or intestinal colic, algodismenore.
