Barberry: recipes for cooking jam

We offer two options. For the first one kilogram of berries and one and a half to two kilos of sugar sand is needed. Use preferably intensely colored, well ripened berries. They are washed and discarded in a colander. We cook 70% syrup from 500-600 ml of water and one and a half to two kilograms of sugar. We lower the berries in boiling syrup, bring to a boil, remove from heat and leave for 10-12 hours. Then jam boil until cooked on a small fire, lay out on sterile jars and roll. For the second option, you need half a kilogram of sugar sand and puree from barberry. Part of the fruit is washed, part of the grind. We bring the mashed potatoes to a boil and add sugar, continuously stirring. Cook further, until it thickens. Then we throw the deferred berries in the pan, prepare another few minutes and lay them hot on the banks. Then roll up the covers and turn the bottom up.

Cooking jam and jelly from barberry

Why can I still use barberry? The recipes are numerous, for example, jelly and jam can be made from it. How? For jam we need about one and a half kilos of sugar and 1.2 kilograms of barberry fruit. Cook them until softened, then rub through a sieve, add the sugar sugar and cook on a small fire. After the mass is reduced by a third, remove the pan from the fire and spread the jam on the jars. Jelly cooks almost the same, except that in the mass we add a little broth to be a little bit longer. And we spend a little sugar sugar. So, the ideal option of fixing the result will be the reception of this tincture from barberry. It will also strengthen this result. We prepare ourselves such a useful product. We need 200 ml of 70% alcohol and 20 grams of young leaves of the bush. We wash the leaves with warm water, crush them and send them to a glass bottle. Fill with alcohol and insist in a cool place or refrigerator for about two weeks. You need to take 30 drops three to four times a day after meals throughout the diet.
