Aspirin Cardio protects heart and blood vessels

"Aspirin Cardio" belongs to a group of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and having a multifaceted effect on the body. Preparations of this group are mainly used as anesthetics and antipyretic agents, for the treatment of inflammatory processes of various etiologies. In addition, NSAIDs have antiaggregant action aimed at preventing the development of thromboembolism. Unlike regular tablets of aspirin, aspirin for the heart contains a small dose of acetylsalicylic acid, the main action is aimed at reducing blood viscosity and preventing thrombosis.

The main active substance "Aspirin Cardio" is acetylsalicylic acid, which in each tablet contains 100 mg. In addition to acetylsalicylic acid, the preparation contains auxiliary substances represented by cellulose powder, corn starch, copolymer of acrylic acid and its ethyl ester, polysorbate, sodium lauryl sulfate, talc and triethyl citrate.

Indications for use.

The drug is prescribed to prevent the development of cardiovascular disease, so it is often called aspirin "heart". "Aspirin Cardio" is used to prevent primary and recurrent myocardial infarction. Admission of the drug is indicated in the presence of risk factors for the development of the disease - diabetes, arterial hypertension, high cholesterol and lipids in the blood, smoking and elderly patient. The drug is effective for preventing the development of attacks of unstable angina, resting stenocardia. The indications of the appointment of "Aspirin Cardio" also include:

- short-term circulatory disorders of the brain;

- prevention of stroke;

- condition after operation on vessels (arteriovenous shunting, coronary artery bypass grafting, angioplastic surgery, etc.);

- prevention of thromboembolism of vessels after surgery, prolonged immobilization.

Dosage and reception of "Aspirin Cardio".

The usual dose of the drug is 1-2 tablets per day, which corresponds to 100-200 mg. We admit reception in a day to 300 mg (3 tablets).

The use of the drug for preventive purposes requires a long reception. Duration of drug intake is assigned to each individual patient individually.

Side effect.

Along with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, "Aspirin Cardio" irritates the gastric mucosa. This can lead to the development of drug gastritis, and with prolonged admission even ulcers of the stomach with the appearance of appropriate clinical symptoms.

The drug can cause increased bleeding with the subsequent development of chronic posthemorrhagic anemia.

The side effect of the drug on the central nervous system is manifested by the appearance of dizziness, noise in the head.

Against the background of taking the drug may increase the frequency of attacks of bronchial asthma.

To prevent the development of complications, the drug is recommended to take only after eating, drink tablets with plenty of liquid (alkaline mineral water).

Contraindications.

"Aspirin Cardio" is contraindicated in chronic gastritis with erosions on the mucosa, peptic ulcer disease, the presence of gastrointestinal hemorrhage in history, bronchial asthma, hemorrhagic diathesis, increased individual sensitivity to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and acetylsalicylic acid. Reception "Aspirin Cardio" is contraindicated in children and adolescents under 18 years, women during pregnancy and lactation.
