Correct planting of peppers will provide a generous harvest

Sweet pepper refers to foods containing a large number of vitamins necessary for the life of the human body. That's why all summer residents try so hard to grow Bulgarian pepper on their site . But, unfortunately, many inexperienced gardeners make many mistakes both during planting and during cultivation.

Planting sweet peppers, like any other agricultural crop, has its own characteristics. Most often it happens at the end of May, and it is chosen for this cloudy day. Optimal conditions for growing pepper in the open ground exist only in the southern regions. In the rest of the country, good results can be achieved by using greenhouses and greenhouses. Planting of sweet pepper, as a rule, is produced by seedlings, which can be bought or grown independently from seeds.

For successful and correct planting of pepper seeds for a few weeks for sowing, you need to check them for germination. For this, the seeds should be kept in moist bags for 24 hours, then placed in a warm place for the next 4-5 days, without getting out of the bags. If during this time at least half of the seeds have germinated, they can be sown in prepared soil.

Before planting pepper, it is desirable to treat the seed with potassium permanganate, keeping them in solution for half an hour. Carrying out such a procedure can prevent the development of fungi, which often cause the death of seedlings.

With the seedling method, it is important to remember that it is never worthwhile to plant pepper seedlings in unheated soil, the optimum temperature is not lower than +15 ... + 16 degrees. In the earth it is necessary to make holes of such depth and diameter that the roots of plants can freely settle in them. For better development of pepper, it is desirable to put a spoonful of potassium fertilizer in each well. When buying it, you need to pay attention to the composition, because for a given culture the content in the chlorine fertilizer can be detrimental.

After these preparations, the landing of the Bulgarian pepper begins. Wells are flooded abundantly with water and seedlings are placed in them. If the plants were grown at home, and not purchased in the market or in the store, they are buried to the level at which they grew in pots. In this case, it is necessary that the earth reaches the lower leaves. Landed pepper poured water and immediately tied to the installed support.

It is best when planting pepper comes from pots directly into the open ground, as this culture very badly tolerates transplantation due to a weak root system. Therefore, many gardeners are engaged in growing seedlings on their own. After all, the market, as a rule, sells seedlings with an open root system.

To prevent decay of stems, you do not need to plant the plants too close to each other. After planting during the next week, the seedling does not need watering. Ideal is the planting of peppers in low greenhouses, in which the air at night is not so much cooled, as in the high. Therefore, one can not be afraid of strong diurnal temperature changes adversely affecting plants.

Light leaves of the planted Bulgarian pepper testify to its good state of health. In this case, gardeners can be absolutely sure that they are doing everything right. Usually, the seedling takes root within 10 days, and the appearance of new leaves is an indication that it has taken root.

Considering the fact that pepper is primarily a heat-loving plant, it is necessary to organize heating on cool days in greenhouses. It is also recommended to carry out monthly fertilizing of plants, which will help to get a good harvest of sweet pepper.
